Two direct feed videos for Battlefield: Hardline here on Gamresyde. First the 60fps trailer that introduces Rescue, the multiplayer mode and then the 12 minutes-long single-player demo commented by Visceral Games' creative director Ian Milham.
When the main character goes to infiltrate the compound, it is so much like Far Cry 3's outposts, you can choose where and how to infiltrate. If the enemies' AI wasn't dumbed down for the demo, then I hope they improve it, still, looks very good so far, hope it delivers.
I know, I meant it immediately made me think of Far Cry 3's outposts. Which to me, isn't a bad thing since it gives you lots of options to play exactly how you want to play, instead of something heavily scripted like the CoD's single player campaign.

Tactical gameplay in a BF game will never work with the type of players Battlefield games attract. Single player looks pretty interesting though.
This right here is why we need a Rainbow Six remake. Some of you might be too young to remember the originals on Windows 95, but you actually (before a level) mapped out the entire level, assembled different teams, and outfitted them with gear that made sense for the approach they were going to take.
If BF:HL had some type of planning editor for MP maps, and implemented a system that showed up on everyones HUD, there would be HUGE potential for it to be great, or even better than great--awesome.
Hopefully the Rainbow Six goes back to its roots, because what made the originals so great was being able to be tactical.

This actually looks pretty decent. The thing that annoys me with these games is how the A.I. just stand there firing at the player & the player just takes hit after hit, like some kind of terminator.
