Page 1 2 >>The game is looking nicer though..some added polish giving it a very "clean" look.
Look at this instead.

60fps is wasted when the streams arent very good.
What do you mean by that?
They aren't HD, they are HQ.
Ummm... A fight game without Kasumi?? no thanks xD
But this looks just as outdated as SF4 in terms of gameplay. I wonder if we'll ever see this genre evolve beyond the year 2000.
Somehow I don't think you'll ever see one of those again...

If theres never another Dead or Alive it will be a real shame.. as DoA4 is still way ahead of any other fighter out there

No I don't think so, all DOA ever was was a VF knockoff with lame plastic mammaries and it was never "way ahead" of the game it shamelessly ripped off.
DoA4 is still the best looking 3D fighting game out.. so i would say its a head in terms of visuals to whats currently on the console market.
Its also the only 3D franchise that truely uses the fighting levels to effect gameplay.. as in not just offer different pretty layers to a level but allow new throws/counters through use of your surroundings. It also took the levels themselves far beyond the standard "ring".
It also a franchise that focuses more on counter attacks than button mashing - something you can pretty much get away with throughout most, if not all, other beat'em ups.
And lastly as Krisq said, it's also way ahead when it comes to the boobies.
Thats what i believe.. and they cant go wrong bringing us DOA5...which i hope is sooner rather than later
Both tekken and VF has plenty of wall game and throws/moves that can only be done when you are positioned correctly against a wall so that's a load of bull. Personally i also think that Both SCIV, VF5 and Tekken 6 looks way better than the sterile detail lacking DOA4 (i guess this is mostly opinion). Not that i want, or need, to get in to this kind of argument with you again, but just so you know. I mean, if you really don't understand how wall game affects Tekken and VF then...well, go study up for the love of god.
And as usual, you'll only beat other nubs with mashing. If you are really good at the game, someone bashing buttons will at most win a round or so because of the randomness and unpredictability that mashing causes. But mashing can never replace correct spacing, knowledge of frame data and knowledge of setups/punishment/oki. That is basically fact. If you play a good Tekken/VF/SC player and just mash they'll tear you a new one, guaranteed. And by good i don't mean some tard that learned the ten hit combos :P
Munkini: No, VF leaves DOA squirming in the dust. It's not a cheap knockoff, DOA has a completely different focus and favors nub-friendliness over a really solid system (imo). I never really got that deep in to DOA, and even though it probably has some depth i think there are way more rewarding experiences for people who want to get serious with a fighter.
