At Cannes' IDEF we had the opportunity to try out the Forza Motorsport 3 bucket seat that was presented at the entrance of Microsfot's booth. After missing it at E3, we could also finally drive a few laps on the - beautiful - El Camino Viejo track. As usual, the following video runs at 60 fps. Consider this as a warming lap before Le Mans, coming next.

Is it me though, or is the cockpitview in 30FPS? where as the rest of the video with bumpercam-view is clearly 60FPS.

the 30 fps was just to keep things things smooth for the preview code it should change for the final release.
Though i wish forza would make their tracks wider it feels like their tampering with scale to keep the impression of speed higher, ie. narrower tracks=greater sensation of speed
Nice one.
Would like some sound though, even with show floor sound its better than none.
Cool vid though, thx.

I do like some of those mountainous backdrops, a bit too pretty perhaps, they might actually distract you!
hood view with mirror ftw!
I would love to have Spa in FM3 but im pretty sure that wont happend, it's very dissapointing that FM games have very little tracks from F1 or europe, most of tracks are American tracks and to be honest they have one of the most boring tracks of all racing tracks, shame i hope it will be in GT5 then at least NFS Shitf has it but i think this game will be to arcade.
I wish FM games would have tracks like GT games, imo GT guys choose far better tracks.
Btw this vid looks awesome, love the graphics, smoothness and the sense of speed.

But there's so many epic circuits that haven't been done by these console simulators. Spa (ok GRID had it, but GRID is hardly a simulator), Monza, Hockenheim, Imola, Valencia, Bathurst. The list just goes on and on. I'd rather trade 50 fantasy tracks for one, proper Grand Prix configuration.

And T10's efforts are really shown off well here, the reflections and detail in the rear view mirror with those amazing vista's are very praiseworthy even if they haven't nailed (intentionally or not) the ultra-realistic look.. Of course there are things that need improving, but it's too early a build to really start major criticism!
I can't wait to see the Le Mans one now!
I really wish they'd add an option for motion blur though and add a little depth of field, it really would make the game look significantly better. Other than that, can't complain!
OT: This gameplay video is pure epicness. It looks so damn gorgeous. Best graphics in any racinggame gameplay by some way. The cars look just like the screenshots. Watch as he gets along side the Lambo, it looks identical to the screenshots of the cars.
SPEECHLESS.
Oh and the backdrops... wow, they look incredible, the draw distance is ridiculous, i really cant believe how much detail has gone into this track.
I love seeing the A.I. making mistakes and actually racing against each other instead of creating perfectly British queues. (The Porsche also races like crap :P)
