Looks amazing! Just hope the engine is optimized for better resolution on ps3/xbox than GTA4. Would love to see a Spring 2012 release date instead of Fall 2012 too.

It's going to be just like all the other GTA's, minimap / health and armor indicator, weapon icon popping up when switching weapons... It's not going to be a top down strategy game all of a sudden..

It seems to me like it's not the entire state of San Andreas. It seems like it's just the lower half of the map;Los Santos, the mountain..etc, all completely re-imagined of course.

Im fine with that if thats the case, im still happy they revisiting it:). Plus its the first trailer, i imagine they will venture further threw San Andreas.
Rockstar has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto V will be set in its fictional world of San Andreas.
San Andreas is a fictional U.S Southwestern state which includes three cites based on real U.S cities - Los Santos, (Los Angeles), San Fierro (San Francisco) and Las Venturas (Las Vegas). Rockstar has a habit of tweaking its cities, and GTA V is set in modern day, so it's possible that area names and the city's layout will change

Rockstar very rarely (I can't remember if any was show for RDR) shows gameplay footage of their games. Any time a video of gameplay is shown, it's either like 2 weeks from release at the earliest and it's always by the media.
@FormlessLikeWater - they had few long dev diary videos for RDR, but that was months if not year after announcement. Don't know why some guys were expecting any gameplay in the first GTA V trailer.

looks much better then GTA4, at least in terms of lighting. the gameplay is what worries me now. i've grown so bored of the "GTA" template seen in 99% of R* games. didnt een complete RDR it was so boring... this needs to do a lot to pull me back in. but looks wise. it's great.

Its almost guaranteed this game will be awesome why not show some raw gameplay?
Mehh not hyped at all. New ligthing isnt enough. I was hoping for next gen announcement or even a small tease of great things to come. Probably the same gameplay mechanism which are boring as shit ( qft KORN, I forced myself to finish RDR ). NEXT GEN please.
