We need sound too, there are other fresh new videos around the web too, and I was hoping for you to post them too after fine encoding and stuff, the way you so immediately posted Gears-2 videos...

Sony sent preview builds to the US press, so they could do direct feed stuff and whatever they wanted. We had to film the same build at a game show, there is NO WAY we could have any sound.

There is *no sound* from the actual game to be heard. All tvs are muted.

Seems like there are a couple of low textures. But for the most part, it is a very pretty game.

When he was underwater, the surface looked really weird. Did anyone else notice that?

Anyway, it's shaping up fairly well.

Can't watch the video right now, the computer is a mess where I work, please someone tell me is the water really interactive(physics simulation) when the player entered in it ?(I saw it in the pictures from the video)...

Yeah it's using a simple but good enough water physics system. A bit like the one in the unreal 3.5 tech demo from the GDC.

I must say, considering the scale of the game, and outdoor hugeness, a couple of low textures are excuseable. Moreover even they might be refined out as Insomniac has promised to even more fine tune the game upto the last.
(Just fancy the draw distances in the fight with Leviathan video posted a month back, and the scale of the Leviathan itself...)

See here, the colour palette has vastly improved, its much more colourful than the last time...

C'mon man, I never thought that Unreal 3.5 tech demo like physics(which is great and eerily absent from the new Gears-2 videos we have seen so far) is having its way in such a vast rendering game too... simply AWESOME!

Damn man, look at the plantation, its sooo... natural... I must say. Its the only game besides Crysis that has nailed down natural looking plantation... the grass is so real and those ground plants are amazing... aren't they:

Is it just me, or is this game hell-bent on dethroning Killzone-2 from the best looking FPS ever !

Looks ok, the jungle section reminded me of Far cry 2 only not as good looking, nothing shown in this game so far makes me want to rent it, but i'm sure those that enjoyed the first will enjoy this.

He just wants some sound so his brain doesn't explode from the unusualness of it.

AS for me, I can already imagine all the sounds without trying pretty muc hso I'm all good =pMeh, it doesn't take much to look better then KZ2. Its not exactly impressive, they just used tricks. Incidently, why is it all the fanboys that said Gears sucked for being sepia aren't complaining about KZ2 being literally black white and orange? Hmm? I like it except the orange is a bad shade, but really, talk about hypocrocy. Still, this game is far more impressive then KZ 2 from what I've seen. Not to mention the gameplay actually looks like it has something to it. But yeah, the plantlife and stuff is very impressive, a lot of it really has to do with the density too, like Oblivion, which adds to it hugely. Looks fantastic. But it looks like the grass is light ambiently too much, like in WoW you have the ambient light on all characters, you turn it down and it look much better, more real. Or maybe the grass is just really brighly colored, but either way it pops too much.

Wow after Watching that video I have to say how could you compare the two the Foliage is nowhere near crisis or farcry 2 for that matter oh well I never liked the closed off feel of resistance! it's like you're going down a path that looks open but there's always something blocking your way, not very open as one person said above.

I think the folliage looks very nice. Graphically this looks at least as good as FC2, but FC2 has greater scale
