Ubisoft released the second Behind the Scene video of Far Cry 4. This one shows us the travel's team in Nepal and beautiful landscapes.

Completely useless viddoc. It tells nothing about the game and as a documentary it fails. Thes are more vacation vids for the devs themselves while adding some 'we got a lot of inspiration from it' to make the game seem more interesting. But for me as a gamer that wants to know about the game, it's useless.
Then don't watch them, and if you seriously believe that Ubi paid for three devs, plus the film crew with their drone to travel around Nepal just for fun, then you're absolutely clueless. The devs will have been shooting everything, and you could see them doing some shooting even in this vid, complete with colour ref card in place. They will have shot several thousand shots per camera every day.

The video team will have also been shooting reference video of everything for the level design team. The promo stuff is a side benefit.

No way it is going to look like that so yeah...it was pretty useless.

It tells me nothing other that some devs have been there. So what's the point? This is not a behind the scenes viddoc in the sense that you learn something about the game.
Research is part of game development, and insight into the development of the game is "behind the scenes."

It doesn't fail as a documentary. It "fails" as an informative or marketing piece on the mechanics & features of the game, but it's not supposed to be that.

I did not claim otherwise. I claimed that this 'behind the scenes' tells us nothing about the game and is therefor useless to me as gamer.
Of course it tells you about the game. Research = authenticity, and going on location shoots allows a level of accuracy which would otherwise not be possible.

I'll tell you what, when part 3 comes out, you might want to skip it.

Why the need to become personal in your remarks? Why the need to tell me what to do?
why the need to rant on about how "you" personally felt about the video, like moroboshi said its "research" which will give the game "authenticity", there have been similar videos in the past from Turn 10 and Polyphony Digital, as a gamer i find these vidocs very informative and shows they are doing proper research rather than just looking on google maps!

Perhaps because I'm sick to the back teeth of gamers' sense of entitlement.
