GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Although we had been pretty generous video-wise in our full preview of Ivory Tower's The Crew, we still had three more in store and Ubisoft just allowed us to share them with you guys. We captured these off-screen videos with direct feed sound back when we went to Lyon a bit more than a month ago, and they are definitely worth a look. The first two videos will take you to two of the most famous places in the US for a fast paced free ride session with Fergus, while the third one will give you a sneak peek at the snow - we've added Ashtar Command's Dead Man's Gun to this one as you wouldn't have been interested in hearing us talk in French in the background.

Like we said in the preview (at least I think), it was running on PC with console specs and a 30 fps lock to simulate the X1 and PS4 versions. Ivory Tower (the dev team behind the game) is in charge of the PC and X1 versions while Reflection is handling the PS4 one.

Hmm, that doesn't look anything like Pikes Peak. There shouldn't be any trees that high up. Way too green, and what's with the giant satellite dishes? I'm not sure why it's necessary to "pretty up" that drive. The vistas alone would be worth all the brown rocks at the top, lol.

I proposed to my wife at the top of Pikes Peak- I'm bummed it's not a faithful recreation.

Ditto. But I did think of them (as did you) in the same sentence. It'll be a lot of E3 contemplation going on- but it also depends on how far apart they're released from one another. 4 months or so and I'll be owning both- gladly.

I'd guess PC dev kit. I don't think they're even running on consoles yet. Could be wrong though.

Environments is better than I thought though can't say that about the car models though. Still overall looks fine

Lol on the Grand Canyon vid at 00:48. Were you distracted by the sun by any chance!?
Game seems a lot of fun tbh and i will definitely pick it up day one but my hype meter is reserved for Horizon 2 at the moment :)

That would be sweet, lol. You could never drive to that spot though. It was a pretty treacherous drop-off, but It was a great view. She never saw it coming! I disguised it as a trip to the Peak and had my Ma with there so I could get a picture of it. She was way back, but the pic was cool.

I just don't get why they'd put a distinctive location in a game, and then not make it look like it. Kinda silly.

It's hard to get excited about another racer with Horizon 2 announced and Pcars on the way. Ubi should of had this ready for launch of the consoles.

Horizon 1 being one of the most boring open world racers I've played, I still need to see something convincing for the sequel. I have played The Crew and I know it's fun to play and exciting to explore. Now I wouldn't mind if both games turned out great. :)

im hoping with the recent nvidia announcement, this game gets txaa support. that would be great for all the foliage.

Initially I thought that Horizon was great, but once you hit all the limitations of the environment, that feeling wore off pretty quickly.

I thought TDU was much more fun for exploring and causing havoc, and put much more time into it.

Thankfully, it seems like devs have finally got the message that an open-world racing game should be exactly that, so Horizon 2 will now be invisible-wall-free.

When I finally get an Xbox One, this will be definitely on my list. Cheers for the vids Drift :)
