Video PS3

Gran Turismo is as popular as ever, so here come two more videos of the E3 demo. One is showing a standard city track, and the other some sweet night rally racing.

After what dirt brought to the table on the arcade rally scene, that was kinda weak. Nothing like the conference, but it's obvious the trailers are touched up.

I find these "the king is back" to be funny and sadly taunting, lol, but even so this game does look like it has a TON of cool features. It's still not proven due to the shitty AI and sub par physics of the two demos, but considering it's 8 million year dev cycle I have a lot of faith that PD are gonna deliver a fantastic game.

Nov 2nd seems like a great time for me to break out the G25

lol I find those people who say GT has "sub par physics" to be funny and sadly taunting, that why pro Drivers like Sebastien loeb, Sebastian Vettel and Alonso are using GT for their practice.

No racing game has more shity AI and subpar Physics than this game:

are you sure they're using them for their practice with car physics? and not to learn the tracks?

i've heard that argument before and it's pure bullshit. Any racer who would use a console racing sim as real and actual practice either knows nothing of PC sims or knows nothing of racing... figure out for yourself which one it probably is

And i was talking more about damage and collision physics, as smashing into other cars more often then not doesn't have nearly as much of a penalty as it should, hence why the AI smashing into your rear on the last corner of a long race is so controller smashingly annoying.

Do you even play sim racers??? for fuck's sake...

and for the record, I really enjoy GT series and have no desire to say the "other" racing game is better, as they are both great in their own ways, i just find all the "king is back" comments to be a little funny. I'd say the same thing if Forza fans used the same taunt.

Please, don't be stupid. Do you even know anything about F1 or WRC or did you just see those names on the Polyphony Digital payroll ?
No, they don't pratice on GT, they just like getting paid easy for saying that so idiots like you actually believe it.

I never played GT5(neither did you) but if the physics are the same as prologue or even that demo(with the Nissan 370Z), I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it's not the most realistic physics on consoles(the most realistic I've ever played is a 360 exclusive - not Forza), not to even mention the PC gaming.
GT 5 has LOTS of greats things coming, physics realism is not of them.

Posting links to youtube with Forza screwing up doesn't make your point that GT5 is better. EVERY game has its flaws, no game is perfect.
I remember clearly that bug in the GT5 Nissan demo where the car would fly off if it hit some cardboard box.

Related to the AI, I have nothing to say, despite knowing(is it official now ?) that PD is using a rubber band AI in the single player mode. It's not perfect, but it's definitely better than Forza 3(you always win cause your car is modded and the AI's are not).

On the damage, I'm confused as the majority of trailers and gameplay shows the same rally Subaru not having actual damage and just opening doors and trunk(which is not that great), but then this new trailer shows off an Evo X flipping and bending some of its bodywork, but it's still weird cause on the pic you posted the fender is definitely bent and damaged yet the headlight is intact. What happened there ?
Also I doubt we're gonna see the same car damage models to every car on the game.

The night rally racing looks booring compared to what we've seen from Codemasters, but you cannot complain much when a game has the variety that GT 5 has.

GT 5 sure looks incredible with some wild variety, but it did took 5 years and millions to make. With that said, Turn 10 made 3 fabulous games between GT4 and GT5, they might be better or worse than GT5, but nobody can't take the quality of those Forzas away from them. I had a lot of fun playing them, and it developed a thing that GT games haven't IMO.....a great online community, whether it's painters, drifters, racers, dragsters, tuners, whatever it's just awesome to visit the Storefront and see some truly works of art.

I hope I had a PS3 to play some GT5, but I haven't(I played Prologue and the demos though, and surely will try out GT5 when it's out).

At everyone that's not an idiot and do care for the art of games, sorry for feeding the troll and this testament, but it's over now. The troll will not be fed by my hand in the future LOL sorry....

Yep King is back :D

There is no need to compare it with flopza :p GT is all about realism. It looks real and it also plays like, real sim game. Nice to see day/night cycle.

Wow, one little joke about how stupid the "king is back" thing sounds and everyone gets their panties in a knot. I guess it's easy to spot the fanboys in this thread lol.

thank god I'm smart enough to enjoy both systems...

let me guess, if I don't call GT the "king" it means I don't like it and I'm some kind of MS fanboy right? *shakes head*

The motherfucking king is motherfucking back bitches!!

Fanboys crack me up but it does look great and has been a long time coming. I can't speak about Forza but I am sure they are in some ways comparable, I just don't see the need for two realistic driving games when GT has never let me down. Hopefully the release date will stick and more importantly the EU date will be close to that timeframe.

Awesome night racing. Serious HDR or whatever is going on there. The road surface is waaaay too smooth though. Doesn't look like gravel at all. But you have to compromise when making a game like this I guess.

Not really. Why can you hardly see anything in front of the car? It looks like he's driving with dipped headlights. Anyone who's seen a night rally headlamp set up can tell you this is wrong! And in the daylight video he hits another car without it deviating slightly from it's course or scratching the paintwork. Please don't take this as trolling or 'fanboy'ism- I'm a racing game fan, not a system lover! But if you have something sensible to say in disagreement then I'm happy to hear it!
