Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

It's been a long time since we last heard about the Ninja Theory version of Devil May Cry. But Capcom has just released a trailer, some images and a press release of their upcoming title, soberly entitled DmC. Here they are!

Press Release :

The next instalment of the multi-million selling Devil May CryTM franchise, DmC sees Capcom collaborating with UK based Ninja Theory to explore new frontiers for the series. DmC is in development for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.

From its debut on PlayStation 2 in 2001, the Devil May Cry series has been synonymous with stylish action, rewarding combat and a brash, smart-talking protagonist. This ‘Devil May Cry DNA’ remains but is now injected with a dark and brutal gameplay that promises to redefine the franchise.

Set against a contemporary backdrop, DmC will depict a duplicitous world where nothing is ever as it seems and the line between good and evil is constantly blurred. Spurred into action by the promises of a trusted relation, Dante bursts into this world intent on revenge at any cost. DmC will retain the series’ signature mix of sword and gunplay but add additional weapons, all new powers and a revitalised gameplay system as players encounter the game’s devilish mix of enemies and navigate the rich, interactive environment.

A true collaboration, DmC sees the team at Ninja Theory joined by key staff from Capcom’s R&D division. Creative direction for the title will be undertaken by Ninja Theory’s Tameen Antoniades and overseen by Hedeaki Itsuno, who has worked on all previous titles in the series. DmC is being co-produced by Capcom’s Japanese and North American development operations.

The grey hair is there 2. The whole hair thing is connected story wise I think.

@Sath: Ur just grumpy cuz of NG3 :P Hearing you say 'good' is good enough for me.

PS: coregameplay is there and it looks even better! Its freakin fast!

Gameplay at least resembles a little to DMC games.

But in my honest opinion it looked like complet garbage.

There is no action games in the horizon worth a damn, unless Kamiya announce something.

Sorry, but:

- Game looks like PS2.
- Dante is emo/hipster/horrible.
- Music is pathetic.
- Gameplay SLOOOOOOOW

Capcom + Ninja Theory = The end of Dmc.

I don't like the music... Miss the old DMC1-4 style.

I hate to say it, but outsourcing THE japanese style-art-icon into europe wasn't the best idea at all. I'm really really sad about this and just hope it somehow returns to it's roots anytime soon.
And the gameplay still looks pretty alpha-like. I like Ninja Theory, but the animations don't even look half good as DMC 4's.

I am not saying that the game they are making is $h!t, what I am saying is that what they are developing IS NOT A DMC GAME!!!. The should just change the name and create a new franchise, just like CAPCOM did when they were trying to make RE4. The game they were doing was so different to what people expected for a RE game, so they create a new franchise which is Devil May Cry. Weird how things work lol

Dante is not an EMO/autistic/thin dude, he is a cocky bad-ass dude. I dont know why is Capcom is doing this. Instead of having more sales, because I suppose that they want the 650k units this franchise can sell in japan plus a lot more units in western territories (that is why the western developer I guess); what they are going to achieve is to not even sell 100k in japan (because they are xenophobic to every american-developed game), and they are going to alienate their current fanbase, (because most, like myself are not going to buy it), so they will depend entirely in new users in the western market whom play mostly Moder Warfare 1,2,3; Black OPS, Halo, KZ3, BF, MoH, GeoW, R3 etc. What I am saying is that by doing this they are screwing themselves and their fanbase.

Looks kinda bad. If I pretend it looked like DMC3 instead, I'd still say it looks bad. The game is all kindsa choppy, and in slow motion. At full speed maybe it'd look better, but DMC is supposed to be relentless action, and this looks watered down by comparison. I imagine if you liked the new Castlevania or God of War games it might be your cup of tea, but people wanting a hardcore game comparable to DMC1 or 3 will be disappoint.

From what I understand this game running on Unreal engine means it's pretty much impossible for 60fps as well.

Nope, that will happen when Capcom change the name of their game. This is not DMC, sorry.

Don't wanna say its terrible but its not DMC and not enjoying what i see here. NT is a mediocre dev gameplay wise and this doesn't ease my fears.

This game looks twice as corny now that the vampire fad has passed. Let's face it that's what they were going for with Dante's new look. Nevermind that it's being developed by people more interested in facial capture than gameplay

I don't know who made the montage for the trailer but it looks like a linkin park or mtv video clip with all those different gameplay footages going on.
Just hope gameplay will add something fresh and NT won't focus too much on the story rather than gameplay.
Looks okay but won't judge before a hands on.

lets give NT a chance. i think the combat in heavenly sword was not that bad but in enslaved it was horrible. it was the reason why i stoped playin the game. i hate bad combat gp :( lets hope for the best and wait for a demo.
