Video Xbox 360 PS3

It's very difficult to find players who do more than get stuck behind barriers or run around in circle at Vanquish's booth (or any other for that matter), but here is a rather watchable video anyway.

only thing that concerns me when japanese developers adopt western gameplay mechanics are the controls they opt for. Well that and the AI

Damn, I hope they can get a grip on the aiming. I can't think of a Japanese shooter that felt as good as a Western one with respect to aiming and movement. That's too bad, because everything else looks sweet...

I'm definitely less interested in this game after seeing some extended gameplay.

Almost impossible to tell at this point if the game plays badly or the player is a total rookie amateur but I like the look and potentially the pace of this game.

Better wait for a competent player's hands on...

It looks like the movements are turned on fast-forward :\

Twitch twitch twitch. SLOW DOWN! Speed is great, but there's gotta be some context to it. I've never seen anybody stand up, crouch stand up, crouch 5 times in a row in .5 seconds haha.

Thats the whole point my friend!

Super speed action combining shooting, movement and melee!

This is what makes me love it, the speed of everything, everything done in a stylish way, expecially the "sprinting" which like railing on the ground LOL

Nice, it looks like the trend of cover-to-cover shooters is fully blooming.
But it kinda ruins the whole 'game' system by trying to be too realistic. I kinda miss picking up armor and health, ammo, etc. Plus what happened to looking for secrets like in Doom or Unreal? :/
This game kinda reminds me of Mass Effect crossbred with Gears of War, then sped up ten times.

Don't get me wrong, I love speed... as in, everything around is moving fast. Sprinting from cover to cover... but when you're standing in one spot and it looks like *click* you're standing up *click* you're crouching, there needs to be some variation in the speed.... in other words, speed when you need it, and normal movement when it's not being used. At this point it looks, as I said, like only the main character is turned on fast-forward lol.

Maybe the person controlling it is just having problems. For example, spots where it doesn't seem like the person can run in a straight line because it's so twitchy from side to side (looks like he's outrunning himself haha). Maybe I just need to get my hands on it to see how it feels :)

Pretty much my toughts on this game!!

Thsi player doesn't know what to do or how to play, same thing happened with Bayonetta/Ninja Gaiden games or other fast game for that matter in the hands of an amateur player, only when you have it in your hands its when you realize the freakin awesome game you have.

Can't wait for this.

Oh God I got goosebumps my friend after watching the vid, even if the player didnt know what the hell he was doin everything looked beautifull and IT will run at 60FPS my man!!!

Hell to the freaking yes!!

I love you Gamersyde!!!

Thank you!!!

RE4 is the most enjoyable shooter I've ever played, and I've played pretty much all of them thanks to some FPS-obsessed friends. So as for the Japanese inferiority thing, that's just your opinion. I expect this to be the best shooter since RE4 since it's the same key people.

RE4 was a masterpiece. This looks quite generic. I hope I'm wrong.

Mmmmhh... dunno... there seems to be a lot of hype on this, but there's something that bothers me... it kinda reminds me of Lost Planet somewhat-crappy controls.
