What´s the matter? It is easier to watch in Gametrailes! I liked it!
Ever since they decided to go with that stupid shader look, I've since lost interest in Borderlands. It was supposed to be a hard-edged RPG-ish survival game. Now it looks like a child's comic book. Really disappointing.
Why the Gametrailers hate? Seriously, they have a decent site with a ton of videos right when they come out. This snobby, entitlement mentality of people nowadays burns me up sometimes. Now, if you are talking about the general community over there, then I can't really argue...
Like in the DR2 news, we'll post our own HD version when we'll have it. And what's wrong with gametrailers ?

The problem is that they can't compress, all of their downloadable videos are blocky as hell.
problem solved

There is also the fact that they have a huge monopoly over exclusive media. which really bugs me, because I am not a fan of having that much exclusive stuff. Competition os one thing, but when you get a monopoly, everyone loses.
On here, they always give us the highest possible quality. Its not that hard to click all of 3 links to open up the video.

I was looking forward to this title last year, until I saw some gameplay footage - I think it was at last year's E3. The visuals looked dull, generic and just plain ugly. Thankfully, the developers realised this and completely transformed the game's overall look. Now it looks original and stylish, and has triggered a lot more interest than it had done before.
A smart move on their part.

Any given day of the week, I much rather get my vids from Gamersyde, the quality is just that much better. After Gamersyde, then maybe IGN; they tend to do a pretty good job on their HD feeds. But Gametrailers is so massive, they really have to water down the quality of their content, to not keep their profit margins up. So all the best vids are usually locked down by Gametrailers as exclusives.
Normally I do not complain much about how the free market works, but for crying out loud, they are paying money for exclusive rights to what are essentially commercials. I not only think that it is very counter intuitive that so many publishers are willing to limit huge chunks of their marketing campaign to a single website, for a little extra pocket change in return. But ultimately, the rest of the free press, plus the fans get burned every time a company like Gametrailers picks stuff like this up as an exclusive.
And lets face facts, at the end of the day, Gametrailers paying for exclusivity of all the hottest trailers, keeps smaller publications like Gamersyde from ever having a fair shot of getting any larger (unless you sink to their level of morally bankrupt business practices). Considering that your product is actually better than Gametrailers, the real loss is every ones.
And for the record, I do not like it when Apple uses the same practice to get exclusive movie trailers. But at least Apple gives users the opportunity to get access to the full bit rate versions of the HD trailers - which is more than what Gametrailers does.
