There's no doubt that this is going to rock!
Same with the stuff Valve or Blizzard releases....
I started off majorly excited for this, but each time something new in relation to this game is released, my excitement drops significantly. From the incredibly generic setting - just because it's in the fantasy genre doesn't mean you can't be original - to the bland graphics, I just can't see anything there that makes me think this is worth buying over so many other titles coming out in due course.
Oh well, at least ME2 is sure to rock...
Bioware rpg games are all about gameplay - and they nearly always deliver to the max.
I read the prelogue book - and the setting is fine. The graphics won't be up there, but I don't care. I don't buy Bioware games for their fancy graphics - Mass Effect has crappy graphics but still stands as a top 3 game on the 360 in my book. I will easily forgive the outdated graphics if this game ends up being the epic co-op RPG experience I've been hoping for. Too few RPGs offer a full co-op experience through the campaign and this game looks like it just might finally deliver. Plus, if it's a spiritual successor to neverwinter nights, then that alone is a pretty big selling point for me.
To suggest that on the level of an RPG, Mass Effect has crappy graphics is... well... pretty misleading, in my opinion lol.
Cant wait!

And I think it looks good enough, even if it isn't SUPER interesting too look at, I kind of like the lack of "omgeeze look we has shiny crazy shit!" it's called mature fantasy, and typically the setting is less fantastic, but some people prefer it being a little more down to earth.
