Four new images of BRINK, that's all we'll get, but that's enough to keep us interested in Splash Damage's next game and its quite original artistic direction.

love the style. i'll keep my eye on this one, specially because of the Mirror's Edge movement type elements.

Environments are extremely generic.

Let's see if the classes can live up to Bad Company 2's customsation and gameplay. But it sounds like a good contender with the S.M.A.R.T., even if it doesn't have a destruction engine or vehicles.

For this game's first fifteen minutes of fame, it looked and promised more than any console fps. Now with all of the other game's that have been announced, it seems that alot of developers are raising the visual bar. But as far as most promising, I think Brink is the number one contender because of the game's first person physical awareness. It plays like a shooter, but gives the player more control ala Mirror's Edge movement. This game also allows the player to duck and cover and you'll be able to peek around obstacles without totally revealing your characters location. That is the way to go. I was surprised this wasn't done in Modern Warfare 2 considering how many enemies you engaged during the single player missions.

Cool lookin game, but I don't dig the character designs (though I will give em what's due, it's a unique style and seems to be well thought out, and the textures look like shit.

Your comment is the only one so far that's been true and made sense. Game looks amazing visually, full stop. Anyone wants to argue with that needs to have their eyeballs poked out with a hot poker for being blind in the first place.

stylistically i like it, gameplay wise i dont like the look of it much. looks like one of those games that tries to blend everything together (single player and multiplayer) and ends up making both elements feel like shit (Left4dead). but we'll see.

can't say i'm excited about it tho. not yet at least.

mirrors edge mixed with borderlands, with some killzone 2 visual effects thrown on top - got my eye on this one

I wouldn't say using Left4dead as an example of bad gameplay is a very good idea considering how many people love that series to death. I know you like to rag on the xbox exclusives or what not but even though I'm not a L4D fan myself, I can easily see why others might like it even if I don't.

as for Brink, I think it looks MUCH better in motion, especially the environments. The character models look pretty stupid IMO but not a huge deal if the MP turns out to be as good as earlier gameplay vids indicate. Could be a real surprise hit.
