This game is looking crazy....cant wait to play it

This game is mediocre on all parts.....this is one of my biggest let downs of 2009.

Yeah and who the hell is this Grin developer? Capcom didn't even develope the game... Isthis even on the their in house engine?

No, this is GRAW2 engine.

Grin is a Swedish game developer who made the Bionic Commando Re-armed, Wanted: weapons of fate, Terminator Salvation and this.

They also made the GRAW PC-versions.

so all in all their credentials are VERY good

I already have the game (it's available since yesterday in Belgium). I didn't expect too much, but I ended up playing for 3 hours straight, which I usually never do. Not that the game is that great, but it is addictive. Once you know how the swinging works, it's a delight to outsmart the enemies. The graphics are very nice (except for the opening cutscene which looks terrible). Bad things until now: it's very linear which breaks the feeling of being able to roam a city. And the game can be very punishing (in radio active environments which are the invisible walls, and when falling in water). But still: I like the game very much and is ideal to pass the time until InFamous arrives.

I un-pre-ordered it after I saw some vids the last few weeks. Some parts of the graphics work well, others are just plain bad (some lighting). Also the forecast of hardcore grappling put me off. I'll stick to the PSN-version of BC (which is hard enough already).

Im going to get it eventually, ive already seen some reviews plus i played the multiplayer demo. Seems decent enough for me to warrant getting it a lower price some where.

I think droezelke pretty much summed it up. The game seems to suffer from it's lack of freedom. It pretends to be free roaming then prohibits you from entering radioactive areas and crossing water. It's something to pass the time until better games arrive but not terribly much else, and since inFamous is so close now anyway I think I'll be passing on this... at least until it's uber cheap anyway.
