Be a Pro in Fifa 09

Fifa 09 was released two weeks ago, and I finally got the copy this week. As with PES, many of you have probably already tried the demo or bought the full game, so I thought it would be better to show the "Be a Pro" mode here. The first part with Premier League teams is much harder to play, since when you start in the lower leagues (second part) you can build up your stats before you enter the higher ones.

Definitely agree about starting at a Premiership side. Pick a lower tier team to start your career and you should outgrow them within the first season and get offers from the top leagues. Kinda frustrating trying to achieve the XP goals when your player is a pace or two behind and has two left feet early on.

As much as I want to laugh at you for picking Manchester City (*spit*) I'm actually playing CM for them in my game at the moment, having played for Norwich in season one (hoping United will steal me away at the end of this season)

I don't know about this mode. I prefer FIFA overal but this mode really didn't fully bring what I was expecting. The objectives you gotta accomplish are just unrealistic. Every match I seem to get "score 3 goals" and "win by a 3 goal margin" even when playing teams like Arsenal when I'm WBA.

They're just for getting extra EXP for achieving impossible goals. You don't need to do them. You just get bonus points for doing so. My last game was score 5, win by 8 and get a 10.0 rating! (I did though!)

What kind of camera do you guys use? I find it kind of more hard to play with the zoomed in one, but it's also more fun.

I just use standard Tele. The be a pro camera is just horrible for the frames per second..

Yeah there is a slight performance/visual hit with the BAP cam but the experience is unmatched in my opinion. The only real problem I have with it is the angle when it zooms in as you dash into the penalty area, makes it hard to judge distance if there are defenders in pursuit.

I was wondering how does it compare against PES09 Legend mode regarding character development and mode depth? I was disappointed with PES Legend mode as it didn't have much depth to it, no set achievment goals. Does the Fifa version have any stuff like interacting with press? manager? etc?

How do you raise your reputation to go from reserve to reserve captain, to 1st team member, the so on?
I'm stuck at 97% for the last fwe games now and can't get promoted to 1st team captain.
