I blame all those giant words and explosions.
Having never been interested in this game series or this game in particular it seems odd that I now feel VERY tempted to get this.

Bad News, Europe is having heavy Packet Loss causing lag, Good news, we are aware and putting fixes in place as I type. This will be fixed.
Another Good News, the Packet loss is Data Center network issue, not game or server caused or related. Keep playing to help us sort it.
WTF is a "stand alone DLC game"
a DLC is an addon for a game, so your contradicting yourself in that statements, but it is a standalong XLBA game.
And yes its worth every penny, its a great taste of fun to tide us over until BFBC2 comes out, and hopefully will have DLC's for it released with new maps that would really make it wicked, what i'd love to see is them release 9x 5$ packs of addons, thereby making the entire game expandable out to a full 60$ package hehe.
the lags annoying right now so hold off on the trial till at least tonight as it's a 30 minute trial that expires afterward so wait if your undecided, but it shows they are dedicated as always to a great game that their working on it and already aprising people of the situation on twitter. (thank god its not a game issue needing patching just a datacenter issue on their network)
multiplayer.
try it out , no need to buy it.
for the loose changed people!!!!!!!!!!!
like me . lol
its a game like any other game its not an addon

They have very little credibility (in my case- None).
My brother bought this on XBL today, watched him for an hour or so and outside connection problems it seemed like a good quick fun game and after seeing it's £10 on PSN (thought it was £15 for some reason), I'll probably buy it on PSN tomorrow.
But on the other side I miss certain things that BC did better than any BF yet: There wasn't really a sense of working as a team, like when you see them rushing a base and flanking the enemy in BC. Also the game play is slower paced, well naturally cause the maps are bigger and 24 people really aren't that much for this size.
All in all a solid game, much fun and very well balanced, I can see a bit of a tank dominance especially since you have a secondary fire option (that wasn't necessary, imo. Takes away the necessity of having a gunner like in BC). That makes it easier against infantry but I also haven't seen the planes put to good use, so that has yet to be seen.
How much does the full game cost (in British pounds)?
Just played two matches on Wake and I must say it's very fun. With destructible buildings it feels fresh (I must admit I never really liked it on 1942 or BF2, it was way too vehicle centric for me). I ripped them a new one with my mad tank/infantry class mixup skillz, and then my trial was over. ;)

But here, nothing like that, feels really right and fun. Third, the grenades work like CoD, hit the left sholder bottom, and there it goes. no more cahnging to grenades, and then firing.
Very very cool.
Just one thing missing, the knife, it's still shitty as Bad Company.
Hope these changes make it to BC2!
Oh, and I changed my opinion about this game a bit: I actually think it's better now that I have played every map and against better teams. I'm quite confident some of the game play improvements will find their way into BC2 and I'm even more pumped for it. It really is a great game, and for €15.
