Ambition of the Illuminus screens

SEGA update its official website with new informations about Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of Illuminus for the PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360. A couple of new screens inside.

This website explain the overhauls applied to the product, be them about the attacks, counter-attacks, Photon Points, etc. Also, SEGA confirmed a new event for the actual game, the 1UP cup, which will take place October 19, 2007 on the PC, PS2 and X360 servers.

The screenshots are from AOI freshly released in Japan.

2 years of next-generation and we still get these ps2-conversions that look sub-par even on the PS2. Good deal.

PSU could have been so good.. if not for those last-gen restrictions placed on its design. It's still a good game.. it just could have been a lot better. They need to do PSU2 already.

I agree, but i guess the PS2 is where the majority of their users are at the moment, so it paid off for them.

PSU is not a bad game and i can live with the fact that the graphics aren't on par with Gears of War, but what really bugs me about it is that you have to be some sort of goddamn millionaire to play it. I have to fork out 80 bucks for the game, then another 80 bucks for a year of Live gold and then i have to pay em like 18 bucks a month just to get to play the game? After a month i decided that it's not that good a game :P

Does the game require gold to play? I thought subscription based games didn't.. it's still well overpriced in terms of a monthly fee though.
