Page 1 2 >>Surely people are bored of soldier games now..? Originality please... someone... Team ICO, Platinum Games... save us!
Modern Day Espionage RPG ? hmmm that trailer shows there's nothing modern about it at all. Looks very outdated and it seems it's trying too hard to be a Splinter Cell. We'll see what's RPG about it, so far though, nothing special.
And about seeing what's RPG, if Mass Effect is a RPG, so this will be.
Dialogue system will be quite similar. As we level up we can improve pistols, hand to hand combat, gadgets etc.
I want to support obsidian, we will see how it goes.
Originality please... someone... Platinum Games... save us!
The game seems fine. I could use some Mass Effect like RPG...
Looks like.... Counter Strike lol. (hey, that rhymed!)
Judging from the trailer its going to be action game with character lv-ing up more then anything else. Idea itself is really cool though so we gotta wait for some more gameplay clips.
Platinum Games? Really?
The game seems fine. I could use some Mass Effect like RPG...
Or would you sooner play Generic Military Game No.8000?
Art games shit me.
Sorry, couldn't resist. I can't say I liked okami either but I'm glad that they tried. At least there was some bloody colour in it. Why do realistic games have to look so bleak?
I saw some gameplay on GT and it looks awkward. The combat looks so dated (but the combat in Mass Effect was also very dated imo) and the graphics are poor compared to other games that use the Unreal 3 engine.
Platinum Games, who were known as Clover before, have put out some of the most interesting titles anywhere. Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Mad World, and soon Beyoneta. Not bad I'd say. Or would you sooner play Generic Military Game No.8000?
If I were to use the same logic, Alpha Protocol should be completely awesome because some Obsidian guys used to work at Black Isle.
I don't expect this game to sell well or get a good reception from journalists, but its probably be ok for those of us with a need for an RPG fix. But I have to say, I am disappointed so far.
Offtopic:Hello, I did not know where to post this as this is a direct question to the moderators:
Again I see messages from people in bullet time, but I don't understand why. What are the new rules on comments? Obviously there are new criteria to put messages in bullet time, or am I wrong.
