Video PC Xbox 360 PS3

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is now available to all, so we finally captured some videos of the game. We chose the PC version so you could see it run in 1080p and at 60 fps, unfortunately, that version suffers from unexplainable and random framerate issues for now. Not all PCs are concerned or so it seems, but it is the case for us. Whether or not the graphics options are maxed out does not seem to make a difference and the game even happens to run worse when DirectX 11 is deactivated. That's why we're not quite happy with the result we got from capturing the game. It should still give you a good idea of what to expect in terms of visuals. As for the rest, you can still check out our full review. Let's hope the PC version will be patched very soon.

Empty, dead streets with couple of useless NPCs - same on PS3/360 but with more details.

The PC port seems to be a rushjob as well. I get this weird floaty feel to the mouse that i experienced in Dead Space. And i mean, the game doesn't look THAT good and where i can run Crysis smoothly on high settings, this game chuggs and stutters at times. Not to metion that lovely graphics bug you get with Nvidia cards, where you get weird flickering black specs all over characters faces if you have tesselation turned on.

Nah, seems like the console version is the way to go with this one imo.

Fun thing is that people seem to think this is awesome but to me this is way closer to Invisible War than to the original Deus Ex. don't think i need to remind you what the public in general thought of Invisible War.

Was feeling real bad after having skipped the PC version, in the wake of DRM stunt by SE and all... After the "wonderful" things I've heard on the PC version, not anymore though. Bargain bin it shall be, just like Project: Snowblind and Invisible War.

PS - I know Snowblind is not a title set in the DE universe, but you catch my drift. ;)

Bargain bin for me would be something like 15£, with shipping already included. Yep, I'm that cheap. ;)

Either way, here's hoping the PC version is patched - yet again - soon enough in order to solve those issues.

Fantastic game, great gameplay, amazing feel, vibes of Blade Runner/Ghost in the Shell, great music.

Can't stop playing it, sometimes I got to force myself into stopping.

Never thought this game looked good on consoles or PC. I'll wait for a demo or rent. It's good there are other people willing to rush out and buy these games so I can come here and read some opinions and not potentially waste my time and money.

Deus Ex was crappy graphics with clunky but intelligent gameplay. Invisible War was flashy graphics with dumbed down gameplay. Human Revolution is much more like the former than the latter.

The laggy mouse thing can be fixed by turning V-Sync off. I don't know why people bother with V-Sync on PC anyway, it introduces lag no matter what game you play.

So far I've had no problems with the game, it runs well and really doesn't look bad at all, the aesthetics more than make up for its technical shortcomings. Also, it has easily the best stealth gameplay I've experienced for ages (not to mention that hacking is strangely addictive). I wish more game gave us the option to not have to kill anyone, it's really made the game much more challenging and rewarding.

It's a real shame you kids are dismissing it for such petty things as its graphics, or easily solved things (use Google?) like v-sync mouse lag.

Totally agree. I really don't understand what all the fuzz is about. Digital Foundry revealed some problems with the gfx (cross platform).. to minimize them 5 minutes later in his conclusion. Real professional attitude. Also, the gameplay seems sterile and very year 2000. Just my opinion.

He must not have played Mass Effect 1 then lol

But seriously, anyone basing their opinion on the elevator right in the PROLOGUE is straight up idiot, sorry but its true.
The entire gameplay and the fun of it is because of the augments and what they do and what advantages it gives you.

Graphics and cutscenes are better than DX3 I know that much lol.
Interms of stealth, I personally prefer third person, as I always do.

The amazing detail that went into Adam's design (he looks badass! one of the best character designs in gaming IMO) is just out of the window in gameplay unless you go to cover.
I said it many times, but I wish they could add a button and a option to turn on third person for stealth ONLY, make it more like MGS and Splinter Cell. But, I learned to like the first person view, but you have to rely alot on the radar, but it also gives you from a eye points view like in real life, so it forces you to be extra careful and watchful.

But, MGS4 and Deus Ex is very different type of games.

Is it just me or is this game brutally hard? I spent most of the afternoon today trying to stealth my way through the police station mission with both my tranquiliser bullets for protection. I must have died 50 times or more. It's like MGS but with the guards have 20/20 vision and their cool down time from an alert is 10 minutes. Gets rather tedious after a while.

I am playing on Normal, with everything in options on.
Its not hard, you just have to be careful. If you try to be stealthy and fail, load to the latest checkpoints.

I usually save manually before I know I have to be stealthy just incase.

Also, why stealth your way to the police station.
Just go in and talk to Wayne in the administration and convince him to be his friend and understandable and he will let you go through to the morgue.

I did that without pheromones, so far have always convinced the other party to give me what I want!

You really need to see how they react to what you are saying and then react accordingly!
