Namco-Bandai strikes back with twenty images of Tekken 6. It reveals interesting costumes and headdresses in rather poor sceneries for a title in development for so long.

My god that looks shocking! I wasn't expecting Crysis-level detail, but character models even in the same league as Soul Calibur IV or even 3.5-year old DOA4 would've sufficed. Just look at the textures on the floor! It's like flying low on Flight Sim 95 with a 4MB 3Dfx card :)

This game looks so bad it's not even funny, looks about as good as Tekken 5 HD graphics. It better be 1080p 60fps

Tekken will never look bad its Tekken :) and this one looks better that any other tekken game released so far i hope that the gameplay can equal the graphics.

I really don't understand what you are expecting. To me this looks just as good as SC4, though it will most certainly play better. Also don't forget that this game is from 2007, it's not band new!

The levels don't need to have that high res textures because when playing you won't be able to see such detail anyway, remember that the camera isn't this cinematic while playing. That said, T6DR is not a technical marvel in any way, but i think the bashing is somewhat exaggerated.

WOW, this is definitely the ugly duckling of fighters this generation. There is just no excuse for poor visuals like this on such a high profile game.

There is nothing wrong with the graphics, I'm not sure why you're being such haters. If you're talking about the beat em up mini-game, yeah it looks bad but that's to be expected. Not sure why they keep bothering with these gimmicks.

And is there a new character or what? I don't recognize the guy in the last screens.

Okay, good thing for Megido that there's someone SANE commenting here. I've been going here to Gamersyde for a long time, and what I've noticed is that there seems to be a LOT of hate towards Tekken 6, both from the site writer and all these idiots who post trash about it. The game's graphics are way better than any other fighter out now, INCLUDING SCIV and VF5R. If in stills these games look on par, in animation Tekken 6 rocks. The backgrounds in these latest screens which have the site owner so alarmed are from the Scenario Campaign mode, which is a MINIGAME. Not the main mode, so that's why the backgrounds are kinda low-grade.

If you guys can't appreciate this game, then it's your loss- it's gonna be fighting gamer's Nirvana later this year for people with sense.

Anywho, i can really agree with the SFIV thing. I really don't see why people think that game looks good. The horrible art style aside i really don't find it particularly impressive at all.

Who are you to judge who has sense in the games that they like and dislike. If we don't like the game then so be it. No one cares if you like it, and just because you like it, it doesn't mean that everyone that doesn't has no game sense. The thing is that people seem to forget that Tekken 6 is NOT IN DEVELOPMENT, it's been finished since q3 2007 and what we are getting is a port of the arcade game. BR does not add improved graphics or anything, aside from the motion blur, it's just two new characters and some more balancing.

I do have Tekken 6 (BR) at my arcade and I still don't really understand.. but there's really no need to get defensive.

If I threw a fit every time someone posted a descending opinion about SC4 or VF5 online, I'd be in a padded room by now.

slim: Great arguing there. If you want to prove me wrong then do so, but insulting will get you nowhere. I'm like the obnly one on this freaking forum excited about the game, but i still admit that the game doesn't looks stellar and well, aside from the motion blur there seems to be very little upgrade when it comes to graphics. Which is not especially strange.

But really, i don't even know why i bother, you'll be banned within a day if this is how you act.
