Massive Ass Graphics

Looks good though. I don't particularly want to buy this though. Save my money for Uncharted 2. I kind of hope they push it back, but then they might be encraochign into GT5 of God of War space....

Who knows.

I'm kind of done with FPS this year so I'll probably pass on this. If I do happen to break down for another one (God forbid I do as my next inked FPS is AvP), it will most likely be MW2. Being online-only also kind of pushes me the other way as I like a SP/Campaign with my games.

This game reminds me good old BF from PC. Damn can't wait for BETA announcement.
As for 256 player game graphics look good. Want better graphics buy KZ2.

This game has nothing going for it besides the number of players, and I am expecting some sort of sneakiness regarding that (ie, squads battling in different sections of the map, unable to go anywhere else, or something. Or maybe it'll be like local "multiplayer" in Burnout )

If I hadn't read the previews for this game I wouldn't be interested, just because the graphics are average.

However, they haven't cheaped out on the 256 player thing, they're actually gonna do it. Supposedly though the large battles will be held for a good half hour or more. Smaller games with less players will be available.

Something about this setup just seems promising.

I really like how the developers embrace the whole Squad-based approach to the game. They want to minimize chaos, and people running around like headless chickens.

It think it's great that being around the team-leader, and working as a 8 man group gives the player different kinds "buffs" like in MMORPG's i.e faster moving, better handling with weapon etc. I think that's really good way to get people to play WITH eachother and working as a group. But ofcourse, there will be always people who want to be Rambo and run and gun like crazy, and that's fine, but i bet they find out soon enough that that's not the best way to go about it in this game.

I have faith in Zipper, they did great job with Socom series back on the PS2 and what i gather from interviews and previews, they are on the right track.

from the interview over at playstation.bolg you are split into squads of 8 across the whole map, but from the sounds of it, you all come together at the end in a huge 256 player war. it sounds really fun. i'm glad they're actually thinking about it tho, rather then it just being a huge number of players in a massive clusterfuck. the key to having this many players is being organised, and the devs seem to be focusing all their efforts on that very element.

still not sure if i'm going to BUY it, but it's definately one i want to try out.

Everybody complaining about the visuals, just remember people still play worse looking game named Halo 3. The graphics are great for a game with such scope. I'm looking forward for any beta announcements.

Those graphics aren't great for any game in any scope... the grid shadowing, the dithering, the ugly-ass textures, the jaggies... so much fail!
why not make other tipe of visual style or something. Worked for borderlands and leaps and bounds for TF2.

The jaggies really do hurt this game in the graphics dept alot more than other games, but I do like the amount of stuff they have in the enviroment plus 256 players...then again counter strike, battlefield? Yeah nothing new but I enjoy socom including the latest one (yes i know they didnt do the latest one) and it does look like it could be some fun.

if there are 256 players in one map, the map better be f**** huge ore else you will get the resistance 2 effect.

plus some good balance between classes is also i must have for such game .

Not that I care, but thats from before the release of Halo 3.... Sorry mate. halo 3 has style, decent visuals, and is a great game. Doesn't mean MAG can't be great either.

I'm hoping this is good, I do love me a shooter, and my PS3 is lacking completely in FPSs. Cept CoD 4, which hardly counts anymore imo. I really hope the number of players isn't just a gimmick.

Halo 3 has a unique style, and brought a number of new and/or improved technologies to the mainstream, and managed to be very proffecient technically. For so much going on in such a large area, and with that style, the game looks great.



When is the hating of Halo 3 fad gunna end? Just curious.

Also, is anyone else reminded of Crysis? Like, the trees, and the lighting (its not anywhere as good, but it looks a bit similar imo)
