Wii

DjMizuhara sent us these two videos of Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii. As usual with games of this series, this should overjoy the fans and leave the others to scratch their heads in wonder.

The loadings in the game are a total game breaker.
A real Next Gen (not talking about HD) version is needed.

Some developers really underestimate a loading screen's negative effect on gameplay. I've held out on buying several (otherwise) good games because of them

I don't get why the devs made the enemies not react to or get stunned by your hits, especially with that huge heavy sword...

No, it's been this way since the first game on PS2. These have to be some of the laziest developers ever. It's basically the same game every time. I'm sorry but I just can't figure out what people like about these games.

I am also in the camp of complete bafflement on why people like this series, plus those loading times are completely not acceptable, the game world is no more detailed and large than that of Zelda, developed on the gamecube.

Typically high Capcom production values and great graphics for a Wii game. This will be one of the biggest selling titles of the year in Japan, beaten only by Wii Sports Resort and Dragon Quest IX.

Monster hunter on psp has been a huge hit in japan. This is mostly due to the coop possibilities and the fact that psp is popular and you can always find people to play with, no matter where you are. Imma get one :B

I'll stick with Echoes of Time on the DS, and perhaps the new Phantasy Star. The combat here just doesn't look any fun at all, and the little sounds and amusing animations the character keep doing are pretty annoying.

They wanted to make it for PS3 at first, but the costs seemed to high.

It's called the way the game was designed you nincompoop. It's a staple of the series and what makes it unique, it is not a limitation, just like the zones, the inventory system and everything else. MH3 looks unbelievable, and a great step for the series. The underwater sections are incredible!

I really hate the fact the loading hasn't improved, that's a bummer.

Riiight..i think they saw how well it sold on PSP and decided to make the next one as cheaply as possible, and launch it on to a console that has sold like like crazy. If you listen carefully...you can actually hear them laughing all the way to the bank.

Lol. Right.... Sigh. You know that you usually design games based on limitations. However, in this case, the lack of reaction from hits is just plain lazy. The Wii is powerful enough to have better animation (shame that most developers don't do it though). Just as it was lazy of Capcom not to have a better hit reaction system in RE5.

the same game as the PS2/PSP editions with slightly updated graphics - a shame, they could've taken a real brave step forward and revolutionize the gameplay system of the Wii edition :/
