wow, talk about over exaggeration from some posters, the graphics are very nice for what this game is (like ARMA, open world military simulator). Ok they're not the best but then does KZ2 and COD series have a huge open world................exactly. Also the gameplay will be the most deciding factor for this game as people are going to be expecting a sim based game. Of course they will have options to make it more arcadey otherwise how will they market it to you *eyes bleed* posters and the current market.

You guys think the graphics are poor? I'm so glad I'm not you psychos then, this looks amazing for an open world game and pretty sim-like. I hope it's as well executed as Full Spectrum Warrior.

The grain and saturated filters are a good indication of the change in direction of the series. Bohemia keep everything clean and visible as much as possible because they were striving for realism (simulating eyesight as opposed to processed film)

i dont thunk it's the visuals people are bothered about, more the crappy grain and over sturation. the filters make it looks like crap.

LOL. how many games you have played in your life? 1 or 0? otherwise you wouldn't talk such shit. i can tell you over 10.000 games that look horrible but this is not on the list. its the same engine as in dirt and you want call this game disgusting. if yes you must be blind. the game is not a best graphics winner but better than all xbox 360 start titles. look at the outfit for example.

its a shame they released those target shots for months..its nowonder people are disappointed with the graphics, codemasters set themselves up to fall there as those target shots were so much better.

Theres still a month to polish it, and hopefully it will retain the gameplay of the first

the issue i see with opf2, is that it's going up against BFBC2 ... so what sets it appart is my question, BFBC already prooved distruction and their taking it further in bc2, so how does opf2 set its multiplayer goodness ahead of that?

I'm sure the grain is supposed to simulate the degredation you get in real life depending on distance, atmosphere, and light quality. Notice that the grain is far less noticable in the daylight shots, and more so in the evening. In fact, as someone who had lots of reason to concentrate in night time situations, I have noticed a kind of grain effect in my own eyesight at night- pay attention and you'll probably notice it too. Remember that lense effects add a sense of "realism" because your eye is, in fact, a lense too- your mind just filters it out because it isn't important...
On topic, I think for the scale this game is supposed to be on, it looks great...

Graphics are pretty good. Nice grass, nice lighting.

The game is going up against more than BFBC2, it's also going up against ArmA2. All 3 of these games are coming to 360, PS3, and PC as well.

COD MW2 please.

P.S. This is what happens when you use a Racing Engine to make a FPS. Looks like a 2005 PC Game.

you do realize that this is a SIM right? cod's like a whole different game. as for the graphics, you do realize how large the game is, right? they use most of the ram just for the scale rather than for graphics.
