Codemasters announced today that Ken Block would be featured in Colin McRae: Dirt 2. He's famous as a Rally driver, but also for his rather incredible stunts with his Subaru. A video presenting this character is available, along with a few "images" of the game.

Wow what an awesome vid! Anybody gonna call bullshots on those pics? Im undecided because i remember the Grid trailer and most people dismissed it as bull even though it said in-game - when Grid arrived it turned out that the trailer was indeed in-game. Either way, that is some serious AIR in pic 3!!!! Def pumped for this title now!

i've learned 1 think from this group, don't dobut their target renders, i mean they may not hit them 110% but they get damn near close most of the time lately.

I'd like to get hyped for this game but I just know Codemasters will let me down with the same central-pivot bs.

I loved DIRT, I don't know why so many people are hating on it =/ The game was good, sure a few things needed improving, mainly on-line play but it really wasn't a bad game, if this improves even a little from the original it should be just as good and better. Video was interesting as well :)

People weren't criticizing it for the online play but the gameplay. It didn't feel anything close to "real".

i dont think it was ever ment to. the shift in focus from CM games of old to the very americanised and dumbd down DiRT shows that the game was going for "accessible" not a punishing simulation. and the handling reflected that. it was essentially the PGR of the rally world. arcady, but not rediculously so.

either way i enjoyed it, i wasnt keen on their multi-vehicle racing, with buggies, trucks and other random crap, but the core rallying experience was fun. i do hope they go back to how they did rallying in their older titles tho, but i cant see it happening, they clearly had more success with this mass market approach to rallying then they did with CM 1/2/3/4

I hope for more Travis, he's a genuinely talented and very likable guy. He did the voiceover menu stuff in the first Dirt.

Ken Block is 41. Yes 41! I know he looks like he thinks he's a teenager in the video. He loved WRC so much that he didn't know there was an American Rally Championship until 2005.

Anyhoo, this is pretty cool video, even if it is Ken Block and multi-take.
