This should be in the game. Full stop.
I wonder how much fun this will be when everybody has to stand still in order being able to shoot.
This is NOT reasonable.

I can justify it other ways, got it far cheaper than the RRP anyway so it will work out fine anyway, just the fact that it should be on the disk has me feeling a bit guilty. I mean TLATD was a perfect example of what DLC should be, a whole chunk of story, new modes, new weapons, new music, the whole shebang. This is just a little bit of code to unlock something thats already on the disk.
I thought this would be in the game. Wow, Capcom, way to milk it with this, and Street Fighter 4 costumes...
COOOOOOL, dont like it being pay for content, should really be part of the game, but 400 points is a reasonable fee anyway.
Will need to see it in action before i commit to it.
I don't care if you have extra M$ points. There's plenty of better things to buy with it. This is pathetic and we all need to stand against it by NOT buying it!
I was tryin to retract it somewhat with my second post, i've been doin a bit more thinking about it and the more i think the more annoyed I am.
Only a handful of people will actually buy this, even less will be online at any one time, and in a short while noone will play it, in that context i definately cant justify anything other than ignoring this.
Generally im a sucker for anything multiplayer, i buy games just for the multiplayer component (KZ 2 im lookin at you) thats why i got a bit excited and ahead of myself but have never bought multiplayer DLC (map packs etc) as they generally split the community into haves and have nots. Thats what my second post was really about, if they had added a crapload of stuff to this, tons of modes, maps, characters, weapons etc maybe some singleplayer stuff It wouldnt be judged so harshly. But its 4 player only and what they have shown so far it looks quite limited, really should have announced with a video of all the features. The basic multiplayer should be part of the shipped game, even 1 map or something, a taster, a demo, something to entice and the DLC to extend (not ideal but a helluva lot more considerate and less damaging to the community than neglecting the feature altogether).
TLATD is THE definitive example of how ALL DLC should be done and right now this screams namco and plane skins as mentioned above.

If the content is there, but locked i mean..
Yup, someone discovered this thanks to the psn trophies a few days back, blatantly taken out of the final game to make extra cash out of it later, people will say it's only 400 points, but it's the principal of it more than anything.
normally i wouldn't pay for this until it became free to make a point, but hey i have 420 MS points that i havn't spent in months. so might as well get it.
seriously fucked up that they would remove it like that but is this really a surprise to anyone? economy is in shit and Capcom has lost millions of dollars in revenue last year, and the biggest project for them in 2009 is this game. we're lucky that they didn't make us pay for the Co-op in the game considering how much money they lost last year.

nobody will play this anyway.
Second, I just thought I'd let people know that you can eliminate (possibly all) screen tearing on the Xbox360 version of RE5 simply by playing either in 1080i or 720P mode. It's the same situation with Dead Rising. (Except the screen tearing in Dead Rising is a LOT worse in 1080P mode as it's permanent, not occasional like in RE5.) Personally I'm sticking to 1080P mode though as it looks very slightly better and I'm not too bothered by the occasional minor screen tearing as long as doesn't get bad. The aliasing seems to be very slightly worse than the demo though. :(
Lol, this is probably already on the disk! And since when do you charge for multiplayer? That IS NOT the way to start up a community. Offer multiplayer for free (to build up a multiplayer community) and then charge for extra maps and skins. That is the way you do it. When you charge for multiplayer, about 50% of your user base will refuse to purchase it. You are then left with a much smaller online community for people to play against.
