Soon...very soon.
Great trailer anyway.
I challenge any one to name a game that looks this good. And please don't say Crysis or Killzone2 or Gears of War2.
I'm I the only one who thinks this game has pushed the visuals much farther than any console game ever. I challenge any one to name a game that looks this good. And please don't say Crysis or Killzone2 or Gears of War2. Capcom have raised the bar, and I can truly say that I am in no rush for a new console. There is so much potential in the consoles available. This is why I own an HD console. We need not worry about graphics anymore. Long live HD consoles. For those of you who never got the chance to play Resident Evil4, you're in for a treat.

RE5 has great graphics, no doubt. But i really can't see where it has "pushed the visuals much farther than any console game ever." It looks fantastic on screenshots, but Ingame it is much too static to be the best looking game.
Nice trailer, too many spoilers though. I bet that's Jill or Claire under that cape at the end of it.
Too bad american developers isnt near doing so naturally looking characters as Japanese ones, since most games comes from west these days... :/
Resident Evil 5 look awesome. I doubt it will be as good as RE4, but still cant wait to get my hands on it. :)

Blimblim you're completely wrong about the lighting. The game uses some static lighting, but there's tons of dynamic lighting and shadows. If you don't understand the tech behind shadow mapping, go ahead and look it up. In the demo you can tell there are many objects, the most obvious right off the bat are those flags on strings. When the big axe guy knocks down the stacks, the shadows cast by the pieces of the buildings' shadows change. The game does use lightmaps (as 99% of games still do), but not for everything.
Also, static lighting and dynamic lighting are terms you should look up. There is a dynamic lighting effect every time you fire the gun, not only as a muzzle flash, but wherever you hit (which isn't accurate to real life, but it's cool looking).
Dude, seriously... tone down the hyperbole. You aren't even being reasonable.
