Square-Enix FINALLY released a new trailer of Final Fantasy XIII, announcing the demo to be bundled with the new version of the Advent Children movie. And what a trailer it is!
Update 2: It looks like every site out there has posted the video last night, so it should be safe to have it here too. I've captured the Xbox Marketplace trailer, with subtitles.

with every friggin FF game announced or trailers released, people go on about its graphics every single time!

What the hell, this is a series that releases stella JRPGS! and it seems the golden era for JRPGs was the ps2.. just be glad this is coming, everyone hyped white knight story and it wasn't as amazing as everyone thought.

All eyes are on FF13 and like always, it should deliver JRPG fans an amazing experience..that's what these games are, AN EXPERIENCE!

I never played The Last Remnant, but the battle sequences look similar to this. Also Gametrailers.com has viewing and download of the new trailer.

They know you'll most likely buy it one way or another when it comes out and this is one way they can make money from the demo, people will bite for sure. Look at Crackdown for Halo 3's beta...

That was a beta though, this is just a demo..

Still, I have to agree, I wouldn't call them stupid for not putting the demo up on the PSN. The hardcore fans will gladly pay the £50 to get to play the demo, and most others will just buy the game anyway.

It's not something people are going to want to wait and play the demo of before deciding if they want to buy it, it's Final Fantasy, it has enough brand power to not need a demo.

but i guess it's the fanboy bullshit that make them do it, a ps3 fanboy would type meh for a 360 exclusive and vice versa without good reason, but then again grid was multiplatform.

exactly and this game is multiplat. The mods here are starting to act like the GT mods. Hopefully the videos won't become like GT's...

I would like to know if this game is going to be coming on 4 discs like Lost Odyssey for the 360. I can only imagine this will be the case given the amount of cinematics

I’m pretty sure it will be four DVDs on the Xbox 360 with one spoken language (English) and subtitles for the remaining major languages in Europe. Lost Odyssey with few CGI sequences had 5 spoken languages.

Afaik as long as you have enough space for the discs on your HDD you can do that but the message to change the disc will still pop up you will just able to continue directly.

Yet again Square show more CG cutscenes and the ingame stuff if it even is doesn't look on par with it. Given their track record this gen I wouldn't get your hopes up on this being good.

Nice, great art, the visuals are vastly behind Star Ocean 4 though, i wish it was a 360 only game and have such visuals with shaders etc, but still looks very good nad far better than old FF games

and untill we get to EXPERIENCE it ourselves, it's hard to judge anything beyond the visuals, since thats all we can see. we cant comment on gameplay, or voice acting, or story...because to comment on such things we would have to PLAY it. all this trailer is, is a pretty looking video, and it will be judged as such,.

That sounds about right. It should be bigger than Lost Odyssey and that was 3 discs. I'm personally picking it up on the PS3, but I don't think you'll go wrong with either version. Only thing is, I'm trying to decide if I want to get the JP version or wait for the U.S. release next year.

Oh, and I don't know if anyone noticed, but the 360 trailer covered up the PS triangle icon with a "Go" icon. Funny as hell.

I think it looks quite alot more impressive than SO4 with vastly better art...SO4 does look great but is quite boxy with poor geometry in parts

That is true, Labwarrior is quite the fanboy which is why I put him on ignore. You should do the same. Also, the character models of FFXIII look much more realistic and are more pleasing to me aesthetically.

Sorry, but the lighting, shaders are almost a full generation ahead in Star Ocean 4, FF13 models have nice textures and polygons, but there is not much next gen about them

Thats kind of bullshit, we can get a rough idea of the gameplay from this video.

As far as SO4 vs FF13 goes, I do think the lighting and character models are better in SO4 from what we have seen, even thought the character models aren't realistic.

Saying that FF13 beats it with better animation, I would say FF13 does look better overall though.
