oh god, i hate timed sections in games...almost as bad as babysitting characters...and RE5 now has both...i'll stil be renting it tho, the demo was pretty good, just a little dated by todays standards.

Looks... I think.. Fine as always. But it gets a bit boring too see screenshot of the game over and over again. Give me the game!!!!!!:D

Very impressive character models. Environments look good (definately not as good as the characters though).

EDIT: Really I think the environments just look mixed. Some is really very good. Some a bit less. Best looking multiplat by far though.

man it really sucks that sheeva has to be with you all the time, it ruins alot to me, and the graphics dont seem as good as i had hoped that they would

The recent Penny Arcade write up "The Dregs" reminds me a lot of what goes on in these topics about RE5

My expectation are uber low for this one because of those demo videos, so hopefully i'll be pleasantly surprised once it comes out.

One of the best looking games I've seen to date. Can't wait to get my hands on it. And if it's a few hours longer than RE4, fuckin' eh!

Where's the new weapons pics?

Just download the japanese demo and play it. It takes 2 seconds to do and you can have RES 5 greatness on your 360. I did it a few days after it came out for the japanese. No mode or japanese account needed. Follow my advice and bow to my awsome advice. The file is almost 500mb.

How can you do it?

I think the thing is that RE5 seems to be really built for co op much like gears of war is now. So I'll only be playing this with another person I think to get the full enjoyment out of it

i dunno, i've played it and know it isnt all that great. garbage is a little harsh, but it definately isnt up to the standards we're accustomed too this gen imo.

Not being able to walk and shoot doesn't bother me considering the game's never been about walking and shooting. And like I've mentioned before, I enjoy the scenarios that arise due to this mechanic.

I totally agree with you. RE4 was almost the perfect length for a game like this. Unfortunately I read in a dev interview on 1up.com that they were intentionally making this one shorter than RE4. Typical bullshit reasons were given about how they thought this would be "better" for gamers. When developers say this it's pure lazyness, and when gamers actually want this- why the fuck are you playing the game to begin with?!? I hate that a lot of best games released nowdays are 6 to 10 hour affairs. RE4 did it right- length, pacing, and varied backgrounds.

Really? Shorter? I heard on...I think it was Invisible Walls that they were aiming for 8-10hours longer.

Where and how can you download the demo? I live in Belgium.

if you d/l the demo via the internet (im sure you know the usual places to look for it) and burn it to a CD-R. then the 360 will read it no matter the region. online is now dissabled outside of japan however, so i wouldnt bother even trying. split screen (if you can call it split screen, more like stupidly fucking small screens) and single player are still avaliable tho.

Played the demo (thanks to Korndog), and I am not buying this game. Graphics are good, but the scope of the levels is so small. And the controls are completely stupid. There is no way I can defend the gameplay after having played it. It just doesn't work in RE 5. There are dozens of infected trying to kill you in group, together with an almost unbeatable 'boss'. Combine that with tank controls and what you end up with is a frustrating, and stupidly designed game. It's like playing Horde mode in Gears of War 2, but without the proper control mechanics. I don't care about comments 'hey it's RE, so what did you expect', because that is no rational reason to make such a poorly designed game. I don't want to play Pong with current-gen graphics if you know what I mean.
