DUDE this racing game looks so much fun. If only they made xbox 360 quality graphics for this game. Still going to get it...LOOKS LIKE SO MUCH FUN

I got OutRun on the Xbox but this sounds like it's got online multiplayer which could be cool. (Although the previous one might have had online too, I can't remember and didnt have Xbox Live back then anyway.) I just love the fact that this looks and plays (and sounds, yay! :D ) just like the original OutRun only "next gen". They should make more sequels/updates like this.

Outrun 2 was totally great and so was its more-extensive-than-advertised pseudo sequel, Coast 2 Coast. Both had online play like somewhat noted in these comments, but the cool thing with this one is that people might actually BUY this so there are people to play with! :D

I've been pining for this kind of update of Crazy Taxi 1 for XBLA for some time, but this isn't too shabby either!

I love Crazy Taxi too!! :D I've got a cool idea, I think Sega and Taito should get together and make a game called Crazy HQ or something like that. Basically you start off like Crazy Taxi picking up regular passengers then you get a call from the police and you have to pick up an officer (maybe his car was blown up by the bad guys or something and there aren't any other patrols available in the area) then the game plays like an open-world SCI (Chase HQ 2, although now there's a new game in the arcades called Chase HQ 2 which is confusing, lol) where you have to chase the criminals' vehicles as well as shooting them. Actually I've just realized, the plot would be a bit like the movie Taxi and the game would probably be a bit like Wreckless but with guns, lol! (Wreckless was a great game too, I never got around to buying the sequel though.)

hm i dont get it... i get the old arcademachine version but this..? Is the gameplay really that interesting today that people still wanna play it? Must be men and women in the 35+ that think that it was "zomg so cool when i was young". Its shit today... Oo

I'm happy about Outrun, but I've been waiting for a console port of the latest After Burner game for what seems like an eternity now.

It's such a great game, it really deserves a port...

Afterburner...the day i saw the original arcade game running on its moving cabinet was the single most important day in my gaming life. I was shocked beyond belief by the graphics, audio and all.

I think i became a "serious" gamer after that day. Yes, i'm that old :(

You obviously haven't seen the game running. Plus didn't you read at least the top of the arcticle? The pics are heavily compressed so look a lot worse than they should. Also I think this is supposed to look old in screenshots. I think Sega meant for people's first reaction to be "OMG, it really is OutRun!!" when they see it as it looks just like the original game art/style-wise.
