I did not like the demo... Dunno really feels like a PSone game with better textures... Yeah, yeah you can flame me but still... I think Lara has not enough milk left in her boobs... just let this franchise rest a decade or so...

I don't really understand comments like these. The series (and gameplay) was completely rebooted with Legend on the 360 when Crystal Dynamics took over. It plays very much like a next gen game, not really any different from Prince of Persia or Uncharted, yet I've never heard anyone refer to them as playing like PSOne games. So please tell me what the difference is there.

None of the TR games after the original were even worth playing before Legend came out. As far as I'm concerned, this is Tomb Raider 3 :) The rest of the games in the series aren't even connected anymore.

i dont know what it is but theres something the PS1 games had which the new games dont have. just something about them, more specificaly 1 and 2. goes a bit downhill from there. tomb raider 2 was my favoroite.

it was possibly the simplicity. before all these cutscenes and big set pices and motorbike chases and other people and chareacters. and that annoying black girl in legend that sounded like the annoying voiced black girl in fable1. it would be like having lara a west country accent. its just ruins the mood. i think tomgraiders too complicated or something now, i dontknow what but theres something about the old games that is better...

im seriously thinking of re buying a ps1. i really have the urge to play FF7 and tomb raider 2 again. and metal gear solid 1. dam... those were the days... :)

i dont think tomb raider legend really "rebooted" the series, they simply faced the franchise in the right direction after the travesty known as angel of darkness. but as a whole legend was still very similar to the tom raiders of old. lara had learnt a few new moves, and gained access to a flashlight and grapple hook, but beyond that it felt like more of the same. admitidly, with those additions it made the series enjoyable again. it still felt dated, but they at least improved it to an OK degree. then we had anniversary, which took the legend blue-print and made a remake out of it, but 3 games on with underworld and imo its time for a change again. as you said, TR lost its appeal soon after TR1 on PSone becasue they all started to feel the same. and the same thing is happening again. underworld plays too much like legend for my liking. if they'd have worked on the elements that have sucked since TR1. then maybe it'd be worthwile, but they havnt. the game still has shoddy combat and a terrible camera. i appreciate that they have tried to improve the exploration and puzzle solving element, but when a game has 10 year old gamplay and design problems that STILL havnt been fixed, thats not a good thing.

they need to go back to the drawing board with the series.

Like I said already, the gameplay is NOTHING like it was in the old TR games. It's a lot more like the Soul Reaver games, infact they basically ripped off the Sands of Time. If you think this game plays like a PSOne game, then the same is true of Prince of Persia, or Uncharted.

I honestly don't understand this "outdated" arguement in the slightest.

Yeah it really feels like people are hating on this game just to hate on it.
Seriously play the original games again and you'll see how far these games have changed. I think they're fun games and I love the jumping and puzzle solving

Loving it, tomb raider 4ever. There was a point where they went from great to crap, but then back to great again. The last 3 Tomb Raider games (this including) were awesome.

Well that was just my opinion. The fact is is really needs a better story line not "Oh Lara, there's another ancient artifact that you have to get out of the jungle and caves"

Why not take Broken sword story+ add more of the Uncharted game play... (without THAT much shooting)

I mean it really needs to stand out. But this looks again and again like your "yet another default TR game... with tombs and Lara... and Tigers... "

I'm not American, but i'll say it this way: This game needs Obama!...Erm I meant Change, YES change!
