Uhm...

Being this game mainly hyped for its visuals, this screenshot doesn't show much to be excited about.

360 fanboys exaggeration much?

Anyway look fine to me. Then again I'm not a graphic whore like most people here.

CoD4 has better flame effects, and the character models look better in CoD4. But I'm not sure which has better character animation - since this is just a screen shot. And the key to making a game feel engrossing is by having characters on screen move realistically, otherwise the player feels that it's "just a game." ...I can say that CoD4's animation is spot on!

Looks blurry. And they need to randomize the muzzle flash sprites.

*sigh* The mods will step in with boulets if it gets too ridiculous.

We've all seen what Killzone looks like in motion and it's shaping up to be pretty good so far, so I'm not about to judge this game on this lonely little screenshot.

Doesn't look half as good as MGS4.

Why was my comment deleted all I said is that the game could use polishing and yes it does.

The animations aren't better than CoD4 and lighting ist far behind other current games. They even don't use HDRR and the lighting system is completly static.
I think current games like Bad Company are technical much more advanced like Killzone 2.

I think this game's graphics are pretty damn good even though this shot may not be the best. I'm not really worried about graphics, but the gameplay. Compared to something like Resistance 2, this looks really good.

As far as graphics and the COD4 comparisons, one does one thing better, another does another thing better, but I would still give the edge to COD4 for now. For one COD4 is 60fps with LOTS of stuff going on, very smooth graphics (few jaggies) and incredibly well polished game overall technically speaking.

But I think KZ2 has some way above average character models, kind of like Bad Company, and also some really good animations that match those in COD4. I think this game look pretty damn good, but I was just playing COD4 yesterday and that game still manages to impress.

Textures on this screen look awfully bad :( And as I saw from gameplay movies the game is kinda boring (just next ordinary shooter...)

This game looks much better in motion because of so much environment and stuff going on the animations.

The image is not the best we have seen, but we know it looks great in motion, my only worry is will the gamplay be good, a few gaming site previews have already cast doubt on this, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed it turns out well as this is one of the few ps3 game i am excited about.

Huh ... PS2 is stretching the truth a bit, are you trying to piss people off ?

I don't think anyone expected this to look as good as the CGI they showed at E3 05, if they do then they haven't learnt much in the last few years.

Shoudn't you be more worried about the gameplay and not the graphics, seeing as the graphics have already proven themselves, perhaps not in this shot but in others, or do you buy games solely on how they look.

erm ... it looks good. But this game has to be enjoyed in motion. The production value of this game is pretty much epic. But somehow I feel like they are going to screw up the gameplay aspect ... I sure hope not.

And for the douchebag who said the lighting was static.... wtf???? It has the best lighting system implemented in a game (on a console at the very least). ever! Everything is dynamic and it's all adjustable on the fly. It has post-processing filters to make it look even better and yes it's HDR. Hell, even motorstorm was HDR and that was a launch game. xbox360 (which is a dx9 platform) can't even do HDR.
