Edit: I still think this game looks rather gorgeous though.
that's why.
FXIII, Halo Wars, Killzone 2, Resistance, Gears2 ... looks awesome! But ... mhe, don't care.
I FEEL I ALREADY PLAYED THEM.
People who dislike jrpgs aproach to gameplay, why bother to omment in the first place?
*ouch*
IU looks as good as always. Well the screens are a bit small though.
*ouch*
IU is a "play it safe" game. Nothing new, nothing interesting. Just like the rest of the games you listed (except FF13). It has nothing to do with me not liking JRPGs

FFXIII is still something "secret" we do not know about... and its the main RPG of Square-Enix, so what the hell are you babling about.

But I guess making the battlesystem more “cool” and “stylisch” is more “at least” than this…
IU is playing safe? IU is a new franchise trying to evolve action jRPGs on a platform that is nonexistent in Japan, I would call that a risk…
Grapically I couldn't care less, it looks good I dunno what you guys compare it to, and if the gameplay is just remotly close to example Star Ocean then I'm sold.
What better way than doing some ol' fashioned control damage, only judging by trailers/screens and calling them, dull, nothing new, bad art, bad graphics, yada yada.
Using what to back-it up? An "exclusive" vaporwarish jRPG that people only saw(brainwashed) CG till now, so many... many times, they frickin' be"lie"ve it actually will look like that.
Keep dreaming, then.
but then again i dont realy like jrpg(exept for pokemon diamond).
i realy dont like it when i cant attack at will or even defend my self.
it gets me so made when i almost dead and the enemy is also almost dead and my attack misses and his does hit.
if that wasnt anymore in jrpg i would love them(art style, story, ludracris attacks)

It would seem people are simply more on edge these days to me. In this day of the internet age, some could say there aren't opinions, you either hate it or like it, which is pathetic. And if that isn't true, it certainly seems that way.
I enjoy jRPGs, but as of now this doesn't seem to catch my interest very much, but it is certainly on the radar. Graphically you could say it is impressive, but I would personally wait for a demo.
It is so discouraging to have such hate nowadays. We all know half the people that commonly use the internet (particularly gaming forums) wouldn't dare to abuse hurtful words to someone's face.
When we see some "ACTUAL" in game footage of FF13 then perhaps we can believe the hype.
Personally I would rather FF13 stick to the tried and tested gameplay of FF10 than screw up a franchise because they want to try something different, FF12 was a pile of crap because they tried something new IMO and i was hoping FF13 would be more like FF10 seeing as it is lead by the same guy.
I think this look pretty nice personally, its not omg amazing visually but who cares JRPGs are about battle systems and story telling not about graphics.
