Graphics looks dull to me..... Enviroment simply doesnt even exist.. but than again I dont play these sort of games.
Artistically, I think it's good. But graphically, I have to agree, there's something missing. Maybe because it's on UE3, I remember Lost Odyssey had the same issues. Designs were awesome but the game itself had an air of complete dullness to it. That engine just isn't meant for animé style worlds IMO.
Looks okay. My guess for the Timed Exclusivity was that Squeenix was having issues with UE3 and the PS3 (which so many developers do) and so instead of delaying both versions, they signed a timed exclusivity deal with MS which allows them to complete the PS3 version and still get money this year.

as one of the japanese devs said their falling behind western developers this generation while in the last one they were way ahead.
Hopefully, MGS4 evens the odds a bit. Anyways, your statement is completely true in regards to this game. I don't remember any JP developers using a western middleware engine last generation while this game uses UE3.

Square Enix's White Engine(Now called Crystal Tools) wasn't yet completed at the time of this game's creation. The cool thing about Crystal Tools is that they're able to use it to develop Wii games as well as HD systems' games. That's one thing I somewhat dislike about UE3. The people making the UE3 engine and the Unreal games only look forward.
Well I'm glad it's coming to the 360 first. I love RPG's but it's been a while since I've play a good. If it tanks on the 360 I know not to buy once released on the PS3.
Looks horrible. Square really doesn't know how to use UE3.
Lost Odyssey looks 2x better than that.

So Sony know when something is crap and lets them hold it back to fix it, while MS tosses money to have it come out early even though it's bad? Why wouldn't they both just tell S-E to wait and fix it?
My guess is they couldn't get it to work on PS3 because of UE3 and gave up on it for now to concentrate on the 360 version so they could join in the JRPG sales feast this year. Then make what they can for the PS3 later and give it to the JRPG-hungry PS3 fans.

Gameplay in the other hand looks very cool-can't wait to see what they are doing this time around.
The game looks ok. It has a very strong FF12 feel to it. Looking forward to details regarding the gameplay.
but as usual these JRPG's look bland, on both 360 and ps3.

HOT! Cant wait!
They showed Mass Effect BTW so yes
i love the art style and as always, JRPGS have some of the most interesting and beautiful stories!
loved blue dragon and lost odyssey, now it's square's turn to deliver ;)
