The second project in development at PlatinumGames is called Madworld and is best described as ultra-violent ; the player takes the role of Jack, who has a chainsaw arm. With the help of the Wiimote-Nunchuk combo, it is possible to brutally kill enemies, in a style that is similar to Killer 7 in black, white and blood. First images.

If it wasn't for the stylized black and white thing this would look like pure shit. Really silly characters, mk style brutality and just...bulky wrestler type guys?
The idea with the black and white is cool but other than that it looks pretty awful to me.
Gotta be the first time i come in to a wii thread and don't just shoot off some silly comment about how bad the wii sucks. By the way. Wii sucks. Really.

But it's still very Frank Miller. You can't tell me that hardcore violence, black, white and red are not characteristics that both share heavily. Not even taking into account blood splatters. There's a comic style to the characters in this game as well.

I don't dig these Japanese style-over-substance games like Killer 7, No More Heroes, The World Ends With You, and such...
Also, with a game being this stylized, can it really be called gory? It's abstract.

Some how I think this game get its inspiration from chainsaw scence of GOW:
1. Execution.
2. Blood spread.
3. Mad World (remember the TV ad of GOW?)

It is from the makers of Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and Godhand. They used to be called Clover before Capcom got rid of them.

Whether this here Mad World will be hard to play or not is obviously difficult to say at this point, but since it's by the Okami people I doubt it's completely mindless.
Nevertheless an awesome looking game, and further proof that due to low cost development and shorter dev cycles, people dare go nuts on the Wii. I look forward to more crazyness on it in the future.

I love the style they've used, I don't think I've been taken aback by a game's visual style since JSR, which blew me away.
The Wii has just become interesting for me.

I like how Wii generally is either really child directed games, or super violent. Two extremes with not much in between
