Page 1 2 >>Looks awesome, but I can't wait for some real direct feed HD footage, really mind blowing.
And all this is in pre-alpha and in its early stage it looks this great so I can't wait to see how it looks later in the year.
Pre-alpha code...read on the screen.
Of course the AI isn't gonna be there as you expect and it is gonna be easy.

Now Resistance 2, thats a game Im looking forward to since the first one was so fun.(when I could actually connect to games online, since the PSN seems to hate me with a passion)
lol 00:27sec missle blows up pretty much right next to you. Other than looking ridiculously easy (dont know if that was intended) visually it looks stunning, warehouse lighting was superb.
They're in "god mode". I don't believe I've seen ANY video game that's been in progress show the character be killed. Not exactly the best way to demo a game if you keep on dieing.
I don't think you have to be in god mode when most of your enemy doesn't even turn at you to fire at you, even while you plug them with bullets
Still don't grasp the 'pre-alpha' term. Alpha is the first letter in the greek alphabet - what the hell comes before number 1? It seems 'pre-alpha' is just a term thrown around for the hell of it these days.
Do any of you people even consider the fact that they're already busy trading fire with the ally NPC's? This is a war after all.

Looks like baked lighting on the most part to me (God-Rays in the warehouse for example), but effective. Certainly nowhere near the target footage in many areas though.

as for the term alpha. its just the stages in a games development cycle.
alpha (very early, often using placeholder textures and having unfinished sections, animations missing, placeholder weapons, usually unoptimised and unstable...crashes often)
beta (more or less finished but with bugs, glitches to be ironed out, perfectly playable and usually a very stable build...hence why its at this point devs allow public testing to take place)
gold (game is finished and gets put into production)
this game however is before all of that. what they essentially have is a very unfinished game. they may have poilished this level to a adequate level for demo purposes, but the rest of the game and the code in general will probably be very unfinished. code may need optimising (still stutters on loading) etc etc. so while this level on its own, much like the one demo's before may look complete and playable. as a whole game. it'll be far from it.
all you guys doing is Proving that killzone 2 is untrollable.
