Battlefield BC: The beta is up

The lucky few who got a beta key for Battlefield: Bad Company can connect now to Xbox Live and enter their code to download the game. The others will have to live with our videos. Since I'm as bad as ever with FPS games, actual gameplay footage will have to wait for Snoopers to finally download it too, but here is the Attract Mode of the beta.
What I've played was a lot of fun, it definitely felt like a Battlefield game. Controls were good too, and lag was minimal. The only downside was a very visible tearing of the image.

This game is AWESOME! I'm a huge BF2 fan, and they really nailed the BF feeling. I hated BF: Modern Combat, so don't call me biased! I didn't like Halo 3 or COD4 _that_ much either.
The graphics are great, the vehicles works better here than in BF2 PC. Love Oasis, giant map, the other one not so much (cloudy Asciation or something).
Oasis is huge, desert map. Great vehicles map.
The whole destroy thing works awesome, tanks just run through walls and fences. Shooting grenades/rockets is much more fun than I thought it would be.
What I really love here, and didn't love in MC, is the controls. Once again, nailed it! The general sensetivity is much more fitting the genre, and not the mess that was MC.
I've ranked like 3 or 4 ranks this morning, it's pretty fast in the beginning.

some are cheating the process by downloading the beta from torrents and running it from DVD , its seems the key its only to download it , not to be able to play it. so the key its no needed to play if you acquire the beta.

I hated it lol. Wierd sound, wierd controls (left trigger to accelerate, left bumber to reverse??), no feel at all when firing the weapons, meh.. :(

That doesn't make it bad, just too much of a different direction to hold my interest. I'm still going to try it out and give it a fair shake though.

Was very laggy at the start, seems to of cleared up now. Asc map is so bloody dark and having to mess about with my tv settings to make it brighter is a no no from me! Yet to see Oasis lol!
No where near as fun/good as PC BF2.........

OK just tried some of the game.
I like it better than Frontlines. I think it feels a little clunkier than BF2 did, but it has better graphics, the smoke effects are especially good. The destruction system also lives up to its promise IMO.
As far as graphics alone, one problem I saw is it seems to have no AA, and might render at less than 720p, it looked pretty jaggy.
Some of the HUD stuff I don't like, when I kill someone it doesn't pop out enough to me that I've done so.
As far as combat and lag and all it seems pretty solid. I think the clunky feel comes from the fact that it takes a while before you can shoot after running. I didn't find much I would have blamed on lag, but getting into a game was kind of a pain.
Overall I'm borderline right now, if I hear the SP is decent enough I'll probably buy this.
