So, the core gameplay looks FUN, not mind-blowing uber fantastic like the developers lead us to believe ( But then again..how often does the final product live up to the hype? ) but fun.
The most challenging part to make enjoyable for the player in these types of free-roaming action games (Hulk, Spider-Man 1-3, Crackdown, Just Cause) are the Missions. They usually get really repetive and downright boring, so let's hope Prototype brings somethin' new to the table instead of just " Get there in time" and " kill/destroy 30 baddies in a minute" type of missions.
Now GTA needs a miracle to surprise me...
Too bad there is no sound :(
And was I seeing things or did he just turned into a captain or some sort and giving the soldiers some orders, that was fun :D
I hope they still polish it though, seems a bit wonky with the jumping, but the running is great.
They also have to fix that invisible objects from distance, like the cars, road detail, trees...etc.
In terms of fluid gameplay n' framerate, it kills without a doubt, what was already shown from GTA IV.
Now GTA needs a miracle to surprise me...
This game seems more comparable to Crackdown.
im suprised how well it runs actually, very smooth
I'm especcially glad that they don't show the enemy suck up everytime you kill someone. That would've gotten tedious.
The chopper scene is a chore ... can you have more popup than that ?
To sum it up, it would keep my very entertained for all of 10 minutes, you can only do the same things so many times before it bores you, and this i believe is a game like that, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm entitled to my opinion (directed towards mongs that want to say im wrong and this is right blah blah)
The AI were more like zombies then anything, and looked to play very much like the Spiderman games, sure it was very cinematic at some points but it just looked all a bit "samey". I mean sure its awesome you can do all these wicked combos on people and chuck cars and crap, but what else? From what i've seen you can't really interactive with the city, the city being the people, the shops, the services, other then destroy them (Directed at the comment on GTA IV)
I say this is going to be another Assassins Creed, a good and fun game, but you'll realise its all a bit more repetitive then you first thought after a while.
