Xbox 360 PS3

Snoopers and Bryan were also invited at a presentation of Prototype yesterday, where between 2 drinks they managed to film some very nice gameplay footage. Please note that the build shown here is six months old.
Update: Second part is up.
Update 2: Video interview of Tim Bennison, Executive Producer of the game, online.

After seeing this I want all of you who doubted it to take your words back, swallow your pride and admit that there's little that comes close to this!!!

Waw!

The environments seem pretty good, and the movement and such seems good too. The AI seems incredibly dumb though. What makes the character likable? Or is this just a random murder sim for angsty emo teens? I mean, with something like GTA and Crackdown you can see the redeeming qualities and there's an actual point to everything...

I was one of the people that did not voice concern over this, Its trying on a scale most games try to do only in segments while this puts them all together crackdown,Gta etc however again like the newest star wars video and gameplay it could all ware off very quickly thats the only fear, But kudos for them trying something new but i never judge a game until a demo at the very minimum.

It's not bad by any means...and the mayhem does look pretty awesome, BUT...i really hope we don't have to watch those same Cut-scene of him "suckin in" the victims and watch that Chopper hijacking bit over and over again cos' that will get really tideous and annoying over time.

So, the core gameplay looks FUN, not mind-blowing uber fantastic like the developers lead us to believe ( But then again..how often does the final product live up to the hype? ) but fun.

The most challenging part to make enjoyable for the player in these types of free-roaming action games (Hulk, Spider-Man 1-3, Crackdown, Just Cause) are the Missions. They usually get really repetive and downright boring, so let's hope Prototype brings somethin' new to the table instead of just " Get there in time" and " kill/destroy 30 baddies in a minute" type of missions.

In terms of fluid gameplay n' framerate, it kills without a doubt, what was already shown from GTA IV.
Now GTA needs a miracle to surprise me...

The looks great, feels like Spider-Man/Hulk without the comic outfits...etc.

Too bad there is no sound :(

And was I seeing things or did he just turned into a captain or some sort and giving the soldiers some orders, that was fun :D

I hope they still polish it though, seems a bit wonky with the jumping, but the running is great.

They also have to fix that invisible objects from distance, like the cars, road detail, trees...etc.

Cool how everything all turns into chaos slowly. And that sucking up people looked very well done. But it's far from done if you ask me.

Except GTAIV does a lot more than this game...

This game seems more comparable to Crackdown.

Thats a surprise. Didn't think this game was gonna be any good after the things, or the lack of things, we saw in the video diary, but wow. Biggest problems to me seem to be the camera which is all over the place, and the animations. They look ok, but the transfers between animations are a bit weird.
I'm especcially glad that they don't show the enemy suck up everytime you kill someone. That would've gotten tedious.

I actually think the complete opposite of most people, i had some reservations after the ego boosting Dev Diaries, and the game just doesn't look that interesting to me.

To sum it up, it would keep my very entertained for all of 10 minutes, you can only do the same things so many times before it bores you, and this i believe is a game like that, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm entitled to my opinion (directed towards mongs that want to say im wrong and this is right blah blah)

The AI were more like zombies then anything, and looked to play very much like the Spiderman games, sure it was very cinematic at some points but it just looked all a bit "samey". I mean sure its awesome you can do all these wicked combos on people and chuck cars and crap, but what else? From what i've seen you can't really interactive with the city, the city being the people, the shops, the services, other then destroy them (Directed at the comment on GTA IV)

I say this is going to be another Assassins Creed, a good and fun game, but you'll realise its all a bit more repetitive then you first thought after a while.

lol, the pop-up is worse then GTA on ps2...game as a whole looks awesome tho. very fast paced. very interesting. i just hope it falls more along the lines of hulk ultimate destruction and crackdown then it does spiderman. from looking at this however its anybody's guess.

You can tell that they're leveraging alot from their experience with Hulk Ultimate Destruction, from the stop and turn to the skid marks in the asphalt, makes me want to play that game again now! This is a beautiful looking game.
