Xbox 360 PS3

It looks like some Japanese developers are finally moving on from the PS2 to next-gen, since Dragonball Z Burst Limit has just been announced for both PS3 and Xbox 360 with a 2008 release. Scan from Jump inside.

GOOD! I was always having this thought in the back of my head, a new DBZ for the Ps3! Do want!

I don't expect heavily upgraded graphics, but I do expect that the Special attacks and Ki-attacks look more spectacular. 8)

Joke question right?

Anyways, i cant wait to see what they come up with, im expected way more incredible explosions, destruction, over the top effects and more beautiful done cel shaded models with alot higher detail considering these are far more powerful systems. Dont let me down:)

I just hope its made by Dimps, and that it's a successor to Budokai 3 cause I'm not a big fan of the Spike developed Tenkaichi games.

I actually liked the freedom the Tenkaichi games provided as far as the ability to fight. I think that rings more true to dbz in that aspect along with some of the looks. However what i hated about the Tenkaichi series is how un-dramatic the finishers felt in those games along with the non-destruction those finishers brought. That seemed better in Budokai 3. Still wasnt enough destruction to me, maybe that was due to hardware limitations but im expecting alot more out of the 360/PS3 versions.

I hope that this game becomes the first decent DBZ game for Micro$oft systems... because Dragon Ball Z: Sagas sucked.

And we can expect good cell graphics, like Ubisoft show us with Naruto: Roan (especially the last level )

I'm really hoping for totaly destructible envirments in almost a red faction way, instead of a building crumbling to peices just cause you hit it, you impact into the side of it leaving it ripped apart, or hell with enough force you go through it. Obviously if there is enough damage it should fall, I just think it would be cool if they made everything deformable.

Really, that's the only thing I can think of that I'd want out of a new DBZ game.

Maybe his back is tense from crashing through too many mountains so he is stretching it with a bit of a backware bend.

Agreed, do we know who is developing this? Budokai 3 was the best DBZ game and still is if you ask me. The Tenkaichi series isn't bad, I just like the regular Budokai games better.

HA! I second this. We were just talking about that on funimation forum so yeah that would be a great idea.
Looking at the scan The graphics and design are not what I wanted for next-gen systems.

sagas was a good step into co-op dbz gameplay but it was designed badly and had gameplay issues!!!

i played trough the game with a friend and it was fun....so the idea was great....i hope a developer will try it again soon that would be great:-D

I'm pumped for a new DBZ game. I haven't played any of the Tenkiachi games, however i brought a ps2 just for Dragonball Z Budokai. I also owned Budokai 1-3 until i traded in my ps2 towards my 360.

I'm as you all can guess a big dimps fan. I hope their the ones making this new game. It looks pretty good in the scans. I'm hoping the combat is as good as it was in Budokai 3 and it has the story style of Budokai 1.

I hear they'll be more about talk about this and other games December 22-23 in japan. So we shall have more info then
