PS3

Our hard working friend DjMizuhara just got back home with his copy of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, and already uploaded this video showing the London track. Looking really really good!
Update: Added the intro video, as always for a GT game it's ver classy stuff!
Update 2: Added another London video, cockpit view at 60 fps!
Update 3: It's Fuji Speedway's turn to be unveiled via this long video.

It does look a lot like PGR.. Without the sense of speed though.. I dunno what it is, but the cars feel slow in this clip..

Compare it to this: http://www.gamersyde.com/leech_4806_en.html

WOW, it just runs so perfectly smooth, very nice.
The speed is good, what are you complaining? It's not a Porsche GT1 ^^

ummm looks fantastic...although both are set in London, Im not sure how this looks this same as the PGR4 vid...I think it looks flat out better, particularly the lighting is MUCH more realistic...this is great to see after the bland demo course (I know its bland in real life, but it wasnt exactly eye candy like this)

Does PGR allow you to tune and customize cars? Or does it feature a car list nearly as expansive as those in GT games? Or how about 16 player online? 60fps? GT has been and always will be ahead of all other racers.

synce, you're right, but I allready see coming a new discussion ^^
But I really wonder if they have changed the physics. It should become a bit more challenging.

why bother saying stuff like this, there are things pgr has that GT dosnt, so why poke people with a stick trying to get an argument? ive learnt my lesson on doing that theres just no point.

both look similar, and both have some things the other one dosnt. and so they should they are both next gen racing games from a differant perspective. both look alot of fun, both feature some great cars and great cities/tracks. honestly, dont pick a fight with people that like PGR4 because alot of people really loved that game so will obviusly defend it.

they are both fine looking games

Sorry jioann00, you're wrong. My copy of PGR4 featured some terrible jaggies all over the cars, the cities looked ok, but for me PGR4 felt like a series that had run out of steam (or petrol if you prefer). PGR2 was an all time classic, but now that GT5 features cities that look this good, and unbelievably gorgeous cars, PGR4 will be gathering dust on my games shelf come Feb 08.

PGR is a not a racing simulation and it has some innovative game modes, GT is a pure simulation and just features regular racing.

They are not trying to compete with each other, and they appeal to different people.

GT games are not simulation, they're just slightly more realistic than arcade games.

LFS for PC is a simulation, compared, GT/Forza etc are like OutRun

Doesn't mean they're not fun though :)

GT pure simulation? You sure about that? Forza is more of a pure simulation.

Game looks good but i was not that impressed by the demo. No damage and still bumper cars. Hopefully GT5 will fix this!

For me this game still cant touch Forza 2! But im sure I will get a grilling by people for saying that!

well i stand by what i said. but we are all entitled to out opinions :)
lucky for me i didnt notice any jagggies on my PGR4 appart from a bit on the cars, but i always race form the in car view anyway :D

they are both fine looking games, and both have there good bits.
thats what i honestly think
and my point is that people (ok, just synce) should'nt start arguments if other games are brought into the convo, its always intresting to compare games in a civilised manner, but not when over excited kids probobly dizzy on lemonade are like 'waa waa pgr dosnt have this, pgr dosnt have that' because they both have there good bits at the end of the day.

Actually, Yamauchi itself said Forza 2 is superior when it comes to features and GT focuses on delivering high quality very specific aspects. Or something like that... I'll try to find the interview.
