Looks great!

I hope there wont be any loadings, and the freedom will be as great as in the San Andreas part.

When is it comming out on Xbox?

What happened here? The wall textures on the fourth picture and the back of the cars in picture seven are absolute mess! It doesn't withdraw me from playing this game though...

You guys have every right to be disappointed in the graphics. I remember when GTA games used to set the graphical benchmark.

I mean that game put MGS2 to shame back in 2001!

You always have to take scale into account.

GTA games always look like ass - but they have scale, so it's unfair to judge the graphics without taking the technical side into consideration.

There does seem to be some inconsistency in the graphics. I mean the buildings in the last pic with the helicopter look fine, yet the textures on the buildings in the 4th pic are not so good. Still, its the gameplay that counts for me with GTA and thats all that matters. Anyone think we'll get to mess around in the amusement park? I want a front seat ride on the Screamer!! :) Edit: Nah, i'll pass up on the ride if i can at least rpg the coaster off the track!

It looks very cheap when you put highres textures next to lowres ones.
Maybe they aren't fully loaded yet?

Some of them look like placeholder textures, really, but I'm not sure why they would include something like that when we're getting relatively close to launch. Also, has anyone noticed what seems to be a sharp drop in graphical quality between these shots and the last released ones? I'm almost starting to agree with that guy that said this doesn't look TOO much better than San Andreas (PC version).

Some of those shots look real bad. Yet some look pretty good. I think it will look fine overall when you are actually playing it. Plus you know its going to be mega fun no matter what so I really dont give a shit.

To all those who say it looks crap or rubbish, just watch it in motion, you'll be more then satisfied.

Hm, something is wrong here, maybe it has something to do with ps3/360 versions, whatever. But everything looked so much better in previous shots. And those previous ones were no bull-shots!

GTA has NEVER been about setting graphical benchmarks. GTA games have always been about how much fun you can have doing whatever you want in a GIANT OPEN World

looks like a GTA. Liked the first one, then it got boring. But this seems to be happening to every game I play currently... Am I getting too old (soon 25)? :(

edit: yeah well Naruto: Rise of a ninja seems to be an exception. Better than Assasin's Creed for me... It's so much more colorful and lively. Well I hope I'll love Mass Effect when I get to play it.

Doing a city into PGR and doing one into GTA are quite different things, so it's impossible for the latter to reach a level of detail that the first one can theoretically reach (if code is considered equal on both games).

It's like MEH to me. I'd rather play GH3 if I had the money. :(

Well anyway, I think the Times Square shot is really impressive and will probably look 3 times better in motion.

....looking pretty bad. I dont doubt gameplay one bit, but this is looking just like previous GTA's assets. What's up with the grainy look of the shadows, the faces, the low res textures.... And I'm complaining about graphics already because the game was supposed to be out by now.
If the more realistic approach of the graphics was going to cost us visual quality, I would rather have the cartoonish looking feel from previous GTAs.

I can't wait till game comes out, wish it did before Christmas as I get more time during the break to play. Always loved the gameplay of GTA even though I know people who find it borring, but I must again repeat what I got flamed for in the last GTA news post :P

"Bit disapointed that visual its a small step from San Andreas even though hardware is so much more powerfull."

And again, I stick to it :)

Huh? what you just said makes no sense, as if it had anything to do with the guys who made PGR. There is alot of other reasons behind why GTA looks the way it does.

His point is if the Citys had the same detail...... Yes we all know it comes down to the power of the systems bla bla ... Still i agree

Whats with games and THis bloody film-grain.. its an easy way to make games lookto have more detail.. ... Does any one play Mass effect with it on?? Makes the game look really bad on a HDTV....... even Assassins creed has it in the Real world =S ..... Now i see it in GTA ,,,, (Balls)
