Last minute change! The embargo for Assassin's Creed has been lifted here in Europe too. By chance I had already 2 videos uploaded, so here they are. At Ubisoft's request I'm not showing the real beginning of the game. If you know what happens, please don't spoil the surprise for the others! More videos, including from the PS3 version, and our impressions will follow later today and tomorrow.
Update: Third part available.
Update 2: Added a very short but still interesting video comparison of the 360 and PS3 versions. Thanks to TTP for the PS3 part :)
Update 3: Fourth and likely last video of the 360 version is up. Let me know if you want to see a video of what happens in the city.
Update 6: The PS3 video is back, this time with the right framerate. Again sorry about that.
Update 7: Since some people have claimed that the retail PS3 version ran far better than the review one, I went and bought it to make sure I didn't unfairly compare both versions. So I've done another comparison video, and you'll notice that the end result is still the same. I'm eagerly awaiting some people arguing that my PS3 is either broken, my capture hardware is buggy, or I've simply cheated the video so the 360 version looked better.

The spoiler in the end of the second video wasn't really a spoiler to me, since it somewhat got through in that one CGI advertisement they made a few weeks ago.
I always wait for the first 10-minute videos of any game that I'm interested in to make sure that it is indeed what I think it is before buying..thank you so much for providing these videos as they showcase a lot more than just a few snippets of gameplay.
The "Fast forwarding memory" text and audio cue..is that just the Save/Load system doing that? Just curious..
going home crying now :-D
best regards,

the PS3 version seems to be a quite rushed job, and as much as they managed to optimize the beginning (still has framerate problems), the last tier of the game is particularly affected (to the point it is affecting gameplay).
They shouldn't have released this version so early, there is hope it gets better with updates though for the PS3-only people (but i doubt they will invest a lot of resources for a console patch)
other than that , they both look identical if you ignore those minor details.
but also the 360 has rumble, and imo, just generally a better controller for a game like this. and since i only have a 360 anyway, which version to get isnt a hard decision!!! :)
i thought the ps3 version would be better then the 360 tbh, especially with synce on here going on about the power of the cell and how we are starting to see the ps3s true potential and stuff like some kind of extremist. but the comparison suggests otherwise.
but then again, on gametrqilers theres a COD4 comparison and it looks EXACLY the same, so maybe its down to lazy porting/programming on the ps3s behalf.
anyway, wotever
right, now then, its time for me now to took in to part 3 of the first 10 minutes :):):) i left part 2 at a cliff hanger!!
PS3 owners are blessed with a slightly more solid frame rate, although the 360 version features a little more contrast in the lighting.
oh yeah, an who does also think, kristen bell ist hot?
I want that woman!!
If you're really desperate not to have any spoilers then obviously don't watch any of it, the spoiler isn't just in the first 5 minutes or whatever Blim has cut.
Whoa, better than I expected. It's still stupid how Altair is the only dude with an American accent.
And what's with the computer-like decal effect around enemies? SPOILER ALERT: the lead character is American, and is from the future. He takes his hood down at the end of the game to reveal that he is indeed Solid Snake!
