Xbox 360 PS3

Devil May Cry is as expected one of the stars of this TGS, with lots of playable demos available. Here is a gameplay video, with our excuses for the overexposure during the outside scenes. The cameraman has been punished. Painfully.
Update: Added 2 more gameplay videos, showing some more areas and the fire boss.
Update 2: Also added a gallery of images unveiling two sexy characters of the game.

Looks good as usual, but there's always that little voice in the back of my head wondering how the game would've looked and played if it was developed with the strengths of one console in mind, rather than having to make it the same across PS3, 360, and PC.

It probably would have looked the same.

Thanks again for the hard work, Blim. This site puts every other to shame.

I agree with...ehm..MeRunning :P

Yeah, Capcom devs for DMC4 said that they are making all of them exactly the same, with minor control changes of course. Sure if you put them together you might see some difference between the light and dark areas and textures , but its very unoticble.

I for one don't know which version to get.

360 got achievements. Although I don't care for them at all, its just a bonus for something.

PS3 got the sixaxis stuff, and got cooler "achievements" once Home is open for busniess.

I don't both will play the same and look the same with minor differences.

That is why I am saying a demo for both 360 and PS3 should be out now so people with both consoles can decide.

And the video that Blim uploaded is exactly the same one that we have kept seeing in these events. It makes me wonder why the hell Capcom isn't releasing the demo online already.

They released Lost Planet like months and months before the game came out, and when it did came out the exact same level had just minor differences, like with all demos.

It's TGS and Capcom is in their homecourt now...they must release it for their fans and the new comers.

PS. Thx for the news Blim ;)

Is it just me, or does the lighting in some of those areas look very different now though? Like the 'docks' like area, looks very different, or is it just the camera?

That looks pretty good.

Have you shot gameplay footage of its lightweight Wii-counterpart, Dragon Blade, as well?

Grafx are hot, for shure. The surroundings look a bit residentevilish ^^
Well, I'm still not interested into DMC. Still I'm of the opinion: have played the first? have played 'em all.
Okay, the grafx improved, new chara, new moves.... nargh, however, not my game ^^

The combat looks incredible and the gfx are nice too. The camera looked a bit confused at times though. I hope they fix that.

That better not be lady and trish!

the hell happened to them! Trish looks like a transvestite and lady just looks so different. It might not be too hard to reach the detail they used for the pre rendered sketches of lady from DMC3!
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b104/DMC_Trish/l...

bah! Is dante the only character from the previous games that looks badass?

Oh well, gameplay being similar to DMC3 is great and will definently pick this game up

Lady looks cool, Trish looks like she is from some sort of a female vampire from the movie Blade, which is good :D.

Dante is much more bad ass. Beard, original hair style, bad ass gunslinger and swordmaster.

This game is so awesome for sure, my favorite in the list actually.

Trish looks SOOO much better than how I remember her from the game.

However, her skin in one of those shots has a very 'plasticy' sheen...

here's a picture I found of Trish from DMC on the net, enter this url at your own risk, no idea if the guy will change the link or something (probably not) : http://dreamers.com/losvaize/videojuegos/images/dm...

Looking very good, Capcom shows again that they build up a truely powerfull next gen engine. What bothers me is the gameplay, it looks like the very definition of hack and slay: Against stupid enemys who don't stand up to the protagonist. Never played a DMC before, I must add.

Oh well, I'll get it anyway, for some real challange i still have NG 2. :)

Only problem I have with the DMC games is they require a lot of fast button pressing (button hammering), but they are a pretty good series, you should check them out...

Anyways, name a single game where CPU enemies actually have the same strength as human players, there are none...

I'm a big Team Ninja whore but I gotta say the environments here are impressing me a lot more than what we've seen of NG2. More personality at least... or maybe I'm getting bored with TN's art style....

What do you mean by that exactly? You sure mean same strength as the protagonist and not the human player? ;)

Well in terms of difficulty I guess it's Ninja Gaiden. The Ryu vs. Doppelgaenger fights were just... hardcore. "Normal" enemys like 3-5 black ninjas just ripped you appart in a few seconds if you weren't on your toes.

Trust me, you need skill to play dmc, in fact, because of the rating system in the game, if you play it like a hack and slash, you will be punished for it, and wont develop as fast as you would if you were creative with your attacks. Hope that helps. :)

Well I certainly disagree with Ninja Gaiden. What doppleganger fights btw? I've played NG, NG Black and NG Sigma through... The enemies are either weak things, similar to DMC games, or bosses without the mobility or intelligence of yourself.

I also disagree with Halo series, it's a similar situation. But it really does come down to AI too. Still, Halo is closer to being 'equal' than Ninja Gaiden.

Only place you can get equally strong opponents with equally strong intelligence is multiplayer games...

OH, BABY! Thanks for the new Trish/Lady screens. That makes 4 hot chicks in DMC4 (three more than usual), and I bet 3 of them are after Dante. He's officially a playa.
