September, 25th can't come soon enough, and Bungie makes sure we don't forget it as soon as possible. We certainly won't resent them for doing so. Anyway, here comes two superb high-resolution screenshots of Halo 3's campaign mode, released with Bungie.net's last newsletter.

I like the first one; the second one is poor. The Gamersyde videos show the game in a much better light.

Won't be long before shit like Halo Kart and Halo Party starts releasing, I'm telling you. The more popular a series gets, the more I begin to hate it. Developers start trying to cater to as large an audience as possible, and the games lose that special "something." Final Fantasy once had it. Mario once had it. Gone now.

same. i gotta disagree with acent tho, i prefare the second shot, master cheifs armour doesnt look as bad...you can still tell it has low res crappy bump maps but becasue it isnt a major closeup its less noticable.

Did you guys find the third screenshot? It says there is supposed to be three new screens on xbox.com somewhere, but I could only find these two.

Hmm... First screenshot looks great a lot of character and world details (it looks like "photoshoped") but second one doesn't look impressive it seems to be a real gameplay screen :(

People say the graphics aint great. But when the beta was out I loaded up halo 2 then 3 and was like my god they are nothing alike. Someone should take screenshots of the 2 at 720p when the game is released.

I for one think it looks amazing and I cannot wait to play this, afterall halo 2 wasn't the best looking but it was an amazing game.

You guys need to watch the Gamersyde Exclusive Halo videos, they show it in its real glory and its only off-screen, but still looks sweet!, we all know how some screenshots can make a game look BAD, then in motion look very good IE: KZ2

And the game is in First-Person, it'd be pointless to have Master Chief with super-dooper-uber-high-rez textures. And besides, look at the gun and the warthog! There is your super-dooper-uber-high-rez textures =]

Like the light effects in both shots ( the blue reflection in the seccond :) ) I don't realy care about the armour because I won't see it during the game...

the reason the textures on chief should be better is saved films...bungie sorta skimped, and while it may not be a huge deal, its still not as good as it could be...still everything else in the game looks gorgeous and it looks insanely fun, so i wont be losing any sleep over MC's armor...tho i may lose sum over sticking it to them brutes and grunties :)
