PS3

Sony unveiled this Gran Turismo 5 during their press conference, and it doesn't look bad. To say the least :)

Sweet, they got the new Evo in there, too. Can't wait for Prologue! Forza 2 left a sour taste in my mouth with those horrible replays. It nearly ruined the game.

And I can't wait for actual gameplay. Jeux France has a nice dashboard cam gameplay video, but their site is so slow the damn thing buffers about 10 seconds each hour. One thing I love about Gamersyde is the DL speed.

Has this game been confirmed to run at 60fps?

I'm asking because the videos are 30fps. I know they're offscreen, but just to confirm. I don't wait it to pull a "Lair" or "Resistance".

I know they said it's 60fps, but not sure if just gameplay or replays also. All of the videos released have been 30fps so you can't really tell.

Can someone mail me a ps3 part by part? In envelopes please. Can't imagine that Forza2's graphics were so hyped up. I mean, come on! This looks amazing.

I hope they don't take the 1080p route for GT5. DO NOT WANT

I'm sick of these expensive exotic cars. How about a game that features normal cars like.. I dunno.. a 97' ford escort.. 92' Dodge Shadow. whatever. Something Joe Smo would drive. I'd buy a game like that. This rant is over :)

Looks good but like previous GTs, it is a pre-rendered intro using ingame assets. This isn't realtime footage.

As far as im aware, the GT series uses some short of photo capture method in creating the cars whereas for games like Forza and PGR, the cars are fully modeled meaning they can have real-time damage, something the GT series has never managed.
Still, it looks rather impressive, just a shame that in this day and age they can't manage to have real time damage for the cars. Just takes away some reality from what is a good sim series...

Replays drop to 30fps and have motion blur applied, in gameplay it's 60fps and no motion blur.

Yes, that is one of the reasons the full GT5 has been delayed.

this looks fantastic. the car models are so realistic. call me wierd, but i love looking at the glass.

anyway, i don't own a PS3, nor am i a fan of racing sims, but by the look of things, anyone who is should pick it up.

I'm guessing you've never played GT:HD demo. Released months ago. Still manages to feature better car models than any other so-called next-gen game.

As for 60fps, it's confirmed. Did they not release 60fps trailers for E3?
