Sorry i don,t want to keep askin things like ..but i have played a few of the gamecube Naruto games .....and did.nt even know Namco had anything to do with them..... they don,t even Publisher the games .....(

Tomy has the rights to the Nintendo games, not Namco.

Well I don't think Namco's deal is exclusive in japan because Tomy or something like that releases them for the gamecube there.

its funny how Ubi's Naruto game looks so much better!!!!! it will show them guys in other parts of the world they can make great games other than the Tom clancys/ & POP.......

yes it is. Namco has the rights for the Playstation platforms, Tomy has the rights to Nintendo. Ubisoft's deal is with Viz Media, the people that do the American version, not Shouen Jump who are behind the Japanese version. The contract deals are complicated. They Don't Have the Rights to Publish in Japan, it's plain and simple. It's been said before, just drop it the question already.

They only have the rights to publish one 360 game, and only in America, and Europe too. Of course, that will probably change if the game is successful.

The license for the Naruto will see Ubisoft developing an Xbox 360 Naruto game based on a popular Japanese property, but not for the Japanese market - Ubisoft’s doesn’t have the rights to launch Naruto game titles within Japan, where Namco Bandai holds them.

I think its interesting that a french gaming company is making the best Naruto game exclusively for an American system. lol. Good on MS for nabbing this exclusive.

Yeah, it should. I wasn't trying to rain on your parade, just trying to clear up the confusion. I for one wish Ubisoft could publish the game in Japan, and even do one that followed the Japanese version. They would do a hell of a better job than the other 2 current series on the Playstation and Nintendo Platforms. Maybe if the game does really well in America and Europe, then maybe they could get a bit more freedom on their license deal.

Also, I hear they are looking into the possibilities of including the Japanese Voices, along side the American dub ones. No idea if they will be able to get it, I'm pretty sure there are some license issues, but it's nice they are trying to.

That would just be perfect if they could get the Japanese voices. The game could potentially be without fault if they can achieve it.

O yey i really like the games on the gamecube,,,, and this game sames to have the same VS mode going on.. so where all in for a great game

Yeah, I noticed that too. Hopefully it is pretty much the same, like in me being able to spam Rock Lee. ;)
In the 2nd GC game, all you had to do was unlock the 4th gate, and you could spam primary lotus all you want. Didn't even matter where you were on the map, since you teleport to your given target. Only downfall was that, once you opened the 4th gate, it took you down to 1HP :P

Greetings Everyone!!! first timer in here.

This game gonna Rox the video is frickin awesome the battle closely resembles from other naruto games from namco but this one has different mechanics thought it feels its made from japanese dev but not,, its Ubisoft Montreal!!!!

I have this game on my must buy list all thx to ubisoft!!! if it goes biggest seller then another sequel.

As for Ubisoft not releasing this game in japan, that is true, but whats to stop Namco Bandai publishing it there? Ubisoft would still get a cut, NB has the voice actors on contract for the games already, they could publish the game in japan, and I doubt Ubisoft would mind saying they have no other choice.
