Xbox 360

Namco released the TGS trailer of Idolmaster, in very low resolution unfortunately. Despite the quite horrible music, it still looks and moves very nicely.
Update: Latest Famitsu scans added.
Update 2: The trailer is now available on the marketplace. I've of course captured it, and you'll certainly notice that the new dashboard video playback may be even worse than before. Joy.
Update 3: Just because I know you are now fans of this game, here is a video showing some parts of 2 video clips, with some "noisy" jpop to go along.

That looks great and cute, I hope Namco localizes it for other areas(just keep the original japanese audio and subtitle it).

Yup the 360 is definatly learning from the Xbox's mistakes.

Hope the Japanese will give them another chance they are trying pretty hard.

I hear there is an 8 page DOAX2 spread of Famitsu Scans. You guys have those yet?

BTW, I think this would come out just horrible if localized. It needs to be in Japanese or I think it could just be silly.

- Namco Bandai will release Idolmaster the Xbox 360 simulation game in Japan on January 25, 2007. A Limited Edition will be released simultaneously, for 20790 yen, which includes 11 action figures, a 20-page booklet, a Live Stage Platform model, Xbox 360 faceplate, and a video DVD.

I'm buying that.

I Doubt this game will ever get released outside of Japan. But if it does, it'd be kinda nice. Not enough weird games to choose from on this side of the world, IMO =)

BTW: The cel-shading and motion capture for this title are something else. Impressive.

Wow!!!! This game looks wonderful! The cel shading is very very good and I am really impressed with the quality of this one. The animation and the char design is very well done and looks a beautiful anime. ^^
NOW I really want to see this game in my home... =D~~

Any info about a non-japanese release? I kinda doubt it, but...

... if it ever gets released elsewhere, IMO, english subtitles would be enough. Would be much cheaper than making new voiceovers everybody would most likely hate, anyway ( Besides, I believe potential buyers are anime fans and as such would prefer original voices )

So, low costs could enable it for a release without too much sales expectations... more like a fan service release.
