Ah, ok. Carry on.
@digi - next Trials multiplatform confirmed. :P
Remember when they told us XBLA was coming to Windows? What was that, four years ago? Yeah...
they will always work on your 360.
Backwards compatibility is only a bonus for a new console rather than being mandatory, Original PS3 owners and those that bought it shortly afterwards will testify to that.
Do you need to be connected to Xbox Live for Arcade games to work?

Well if they shutdown the 360 live, how are you going to download these titles? After that you would need to pray every time that your HDD or console wont break down. How would you transfer licenses for new consoles etc.

Being good to your customers isn't mandatory either. XBLA purchases, as they are, are glorified rentals. Cross platform purchases would give me more incentive to buy things on Xbox Live. And I don't expect that these games will ever be playable on another platform, but that won't stop me from wanting that. I think it's a pretty reasonable thing to want software that I buy to have a life beyond a console that can barely stay functional within its own lifetime.
booo fuc*ing hooo, cry me a river.
