4K lossless capture now stable

Now that we can record compressed 4K/HDR videos with our newly aquired Shogun Inferno, we had to make sure lossless capture would finally be possible with Amarec. We installed a faster SSD and it did the trick, as proven by the following videos. To show you that Gamersyde is now perfectly ready to reach new horizons, what better games than Forza Horizon 3 running at 60 fps on PC (ultra settings but no MSAA) and Horizon: Zero Dawn running at 30 fps on PS4 Pro.
Update: We've just added a video of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
Update 2: A small taste of Alan Wake in 4K.

PS4 Pro 4K HDR videos

Many people asked us to do more HDR video after the surprisingly positive reception of our Forza 7 ones a few days ago. Needless we don't have anymore HDR footage from upcoming games, but we have a lot of amazing looking PS4 Pro title to show off. I don't think many people will be surprised by the fact that we start with the still incredibly amazing looking Horizon: Zero Dawn, and these two videos showing a sunset, and a very high contract Cauldron sequence (slight spoilers in that one).
Update 6: After inFamous: Second Son, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Ratchet & Clank, WipEout Omega Collection, The Last of Us, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands and now a third video of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Horizon: Zero Dawn now available

The plethora of videos Driftwood captured for you along with his impressions should have helped to ease the wait hopefully. Horizon: Zero Dawn is now available almost everywhere, so let's celebrate the official release with this CGI launch trailer.

Horizon: Zero Dawn replay

Our thorough coverage of the highly anticipated Horizon: Zero Dawn ended yesterday with 2 livestreams. Both were rather different in terms of content, so if French does not scare you, check out the 2 replays.
Update: One last batch of homemade images now the game is officially available for everyone.

More videos on the Horizon

The last part of the embargo concerning Horizon: Zero Dawn is now lifted, so we can share a bit more content than in the past few days. On the menu today, some PS4 and PS4 Pro footage, with the 2 different settings for the latter (4K and Performance mode in 1080p). Very few story related spoilers inside, as we have decided not to show you much of the main plot, apart from the game's opening (in French only) and the very first real mission (before the Proving). We'll be live tonight at 8:30 CET if you want to see more and ask specific questions, but if you can't make it, don't hesitate to ask anything you want in the comment section. Although we still haven't completed the game, we'll do our best to answer.

Horizon Zero Dawn now patched

As Guerilla Games announced it a few days ago, a patch was made available just in time for the launch of Horizon: Zero Dawn. PS4 owners will now be able to choose between Performance mode (with enhanced graphics - though it's not clear what is improved - and a steadier framerate - still at 30) and Resolution mode (2160p checkerboard resolution and more detailed textures). We recorded some 1080p to show you the difference, so tell us what you think. The 2 videos start with the performance mode.
Update: 3 comparative videos added, this time recorded in 4K. All 3 start with the resolution mode. 4 images have also been added.
Update 2: Second comparison gallery added.

A bit more Horizon: Zero Dawn beauty

After trying to figure what might have gone wrong with our 4K footage of Horizon: Zero Dawn, the only answer we found was the obvious one: the PS4 Pro must have bugged when we changed the set-up to record our footage and somehow, HDR remained on despite what the menu said. Anyway, we decided to make it up to you with a few more extracts on the same theme (environments) so you can enjoy the game's beauty properly. We have finally reached the second part of the map, which you can see here (stay away if you want to keep the surprise for yourself), and we're still very much enjoying the game. Actually, in terms of pure exploration, the 2 last times we felt so motivated to explore the open world were in The Witcher 3 and Red Read Redemption.
Update: Third gallery added.

2 more Horizon Zero Dawn short clips

We still had a couple of homemade videos of Horizon: Zero Dawn to share but couldn't get ready on time. Nothing too special, but if you want to see some 4K sunrise on Pro and the game's menu, you're in for a little treat.
Update: Colors are indeed too saturated in the PS4 Pro videos, due to a bug of the console when we switched to our capture set-up.

GSY REVIEW | PS4 Monday, February 20, 2017 | 9:01 AM
We've been playing Horizon Zero Dawn

Even though we have only seen 30% of the whole game, we have been playing for more than 15 hours (possibly more than 20 even) and we have been enjoying every minute of it. The game is inspired by many other titles, like Far Cry, Uncharted, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed, The Witcher 3 to name but a few, but everything it does, it does well. We have a review in progress on the French side if you are interested, the following videos aiming at illustrating the things we mention. Today's extracts are short and contain no spoilers whatsoever as they were recorded in the open world and show no cutscenes.
Update: Colors are indeed too saturated in the PS4 Pro videos, due to a bug of the console when we switched to our capture set-up.
