Trailer PC

Harold started with a preview, before becoming a full review and getting some more video coverage so people would realize there was a lot more than met the eye. Harold was also a great livestream with two of his makers and it's about to be back. Starting tomorrow, Harold will also be a less hardcore iOS game either available for free (with ads and constant online connection) or for $2.99 (no ads and possibility to play offline). Later this year, it will be an Android game, before it can finally become a console game one day (2017?). Last but not least, Harold is about to be a cheaper game on PC very soon (it should be around s10), so if you're interested check Steam once in a while until it happens. Harold only needs a twist of fate (or faith maybe) to meet with success, which it truly deserves. Will you be his guardian angel?

GSY Video PC

Davton and I have become completely addicted to Harold and its demanding gameplay, so we figured we'd let you see a couple more of videos of the game. We showed you the Jungle 2 track during our livestream but given that it was hard to concentrate whilst speaking, you didn't see how it could be handled properly. In the first video, you'll see the race as you'll probably see it the first time you see the end of it (though we skipped a few obstacles by throwing the poor fellow in the air). In the second extract, you'll see how vicious the shortcut is, even after having assimilated the unique mechanics of the game. We also tried to make the best use of the foresight power, so don't worry if you find it confusing, it's normal. If you haven't bought the game yet, maybe you should, because if you're anything like us, you're going to spend hours and hours trying to beat everyone's score.

GSY Review PC

Two years after our initial encounter with Harold and his creator, we were finally able to get our hands on the final game, which is scheduled for release tomorrow on Steam. Following our two, hopefully communicative, livestreams we're ready to deliver our verdict on this incredibly playful, new style of game. As usual we've included some videos in the article but we strongly advise you to start by viewing our replay (in English) to get a better understanding of how the game works and how it ties into classic cartoons and games of yesteryear.

GSY Live PC

It might not be considered as exclusive content per se, but developer Moon Spider has done us a big favor by accepting our invitation for a new livestream dedicated to their very first game, Harold. Back in 2012 we were one of the few websites to tell you about this upcoming independent game and we were quite enthusiastic. If you need to refresh your memory, make sure to check out our preview. Head of studio Loris Malek and composer Olivier Derivière will be there with us to answer our questions and yours and present you the game as we try to play. We hope you'll be curious enough to be there at 09:45 p.m. CET tomorrow, as we want to belive it'll be worth your while.
Update: The replays are up, but given the size of the videos, the streams will take a while to generate.

Trailer PC

It's been a long while since last we heard abour Harold, the promising platformer racing title from indie dev Moon Spider. So it's with pleasure that we share this new trailer and screens. If you never heard about it, you can read our preview from late 2012, the video sums up pretty well what awaits you. In this game, players are tasked, as a guardian-angel-in-training, with guiding the title character who clearly lacks skills through 12 races filled with obstacles and humor. It will be out this Fall on PC.

When we told you that September was going to be pretty busy for us, we weren't even close. With the flood of titles released this month, it was hard not to find something you liked, so chances are that sportsmen and lovers of beautiful curves - double meaning - alike all found the perfect match - again, double meaning. Our coverage of TGS probably managed to reassure the Playstation Vita owners among you, if our great videos from LittleBigPlanet Vita were not enough. In short, if you missed anything in the last 30 days, there's plenty to do while waiting for everything October has to offer.

Harold, not a name that will tell you much for now, and yet, this game might turn out to be one of the greatest downloadable titles of 2013. You know us here at Gamersyde, we like great ideas and there is no denying that the independent scene is probably the best place to find some these days. So, when we were offered a hands-on preview in Olivier Derivière's studio, it was impossible to say no to such an opportunity. That's not all though, since Loris Malek, president of Moon Spider accepted to give us an exclusive interview over the phone. We are currently working on a written version of it so you can learn more about his ongoing project. For now, it is time to discover our very first impressions on a game people will be talking about quite a lot in the next six months.
