The conquerer looks like Rutger Hauer with long white hair, I like his design. Rush looks like the typical generic teenaged JRPG character. Graphics look pretty good from the scans, and it really does remind of LO. Hopefully we get a video this weekend.

For me its still kinda a mixed bag currently.

From some of the shots I get the impression it could be big, but then from others I think it could be a game that never achieves its potential due to more work not being put into game's art and as a result it not doing enough to seperate itself.

Then again I could be totally wrong only a good video will convince me, but it just sunk in to me that Square is actually starting a new series.... IF this is a multiplatform game (which would be quite a drastic change for Square (when they could've just given the 360 its own game since the PS3 already has 2) then I hope it gets some much deserved attention. Hope they show a video for it at the Square Enix party.

New final fantasy game for the PSP (wow) whats with all the surprises lol.

Square Enix is whoring the hell out of the final fantasy franchise I wonder if I'll even care one day if they keep overdoing it.

Who am I fooling? Of course I will, but Final Fantasy 13 better be all types of incredible. Somehow not too sure about versus 13, but I pray its good.

So a New RPG, i.e. a new license and you guys think this would hit the 360. Not a chance in hell. I am sure the only thing that we could get is a final fantasy game and may be not even that .... Until this is confirmed, I'll be sitting on my chair driking tea.

This game isn't a Final Fantasy game though, their only real big sellers are DQ, FF and KH. KH gets a lot of its sells due to the FF and Disney characters and references, as well.

But yea, outside of those, SE has nothing that sells millions. This is a new IP, using the Unreal Engine 3, and supposed to be coming out in Spring '08 in both Japan and America. If all that stays intact, this should be coming out before FF13, and possibly MGS4 if it doesn't make it this Fall. So yea, a 360 version isn't so hard to believe, considering how well 360 software sales, and how poorly PS3 sales have been doing.

I think its fair to assume that this game will be coming to both 360 and PS3.

1. Because as Optimus said if they want to appeal to a large part of the West then the 360 is in a better place as far as sales go.

2. It's using UE3 and will be fairly easy and uncostly for them to dev for both consoles. (lets face it, if it was going to be for PS3 only it would be using the White Engine)

How the hell is it a ripoff of LO? I see absolutely nothing that would rip LO off. The styles are completely different. LO is much, much darker.

The battle scenes look basically the same, you have turn based battles with enemies fighting in the background, where have i seen that before... hmmm

Sure its guna be different in terms of story, but the screen with the 109 (suprising even the font style is the same) damage looks very much like LO IMO.

Just because LO looks darker doesn't make it any different when you think about the fact that both games demonstrate turnbased battle on a battle field full of 1000's of enemies.
